Happy Birthday Faye Fox!!

About a week ago, I was loading groceries when a wind slammed the trunk lid edge into my forehead, cutting a three inch gash. I saw stars but was able to get out some gauze from the medical kit I keep in back. I was able to make a "hot rag" from an old clean tee shirt to keep the gauze in place while I drove home. I assessed the situation and decided against going in for stitches. After medicating with antibiotic, I applied a gauze and used a headband to keep it in place. The scab just fell off and it looks great except for a scar.

Then a itching rash broke out on my ankle. I got relief from using a cocktail of antifungal, antibiotic, and Cortisone 10 cream. It is really faded now and seems to be disappearing. I didn't want to go into the urgent care clinic, because I don't need anything on my record that might delay or cancel the cancer surgery in a few weeks.

The new glasses are helping with vision, but still have times of eye muscle weakness. That will be addressed by eye surgeon in February. Probably no surgery will help, but getting his opinion anyway.

I won't filibuster on my bathroom issues, but more frequent laundry, while not resolving the issue, adds a feeling of security. Needing clean undies and not having any, can become a problem.

The above is not complaining or whining, just explaining why I had to self ban myself, and work on attitude. Oh yes, I forgot about straining my back and going into lateral shift. Still a bit sore but got it worked out using home physical therapy.

Anyway, I remember shoveling manure with my Grandpa, when I was was about five, and asking him a question about Noah's Ark. He had a way of explaining Bible stories that made sense. I found a photo online and made a meme.

I am grateful to still be on the boat of life, so a little inconvenience cleaning up small problems, hasn't put me overboard. :sneaky:

Happy birthday anyway, Foxy Lady.
