What was your name last time, @Emma ? Ken can add the last name for you if you just let him know what it was, or what you want it to be.I just rejoined, I missed this forum when it disappeared back in 2024.
Glad to see familiar names.
Thanks Ken for bringing it back.
You mean you're not that Krystal Shay? Next time I won't Like you so enthusiastically. (I thought your posts sounded a little too intelligent...)Good grief! I never gave much thought to my fake screen name. Now I wished I had!Apparently there are a number of Krystal Shay's on the internet. Sleezy actress's, models, and porn stars. What the He-double hockey sticks!

When I first set the 2.0 iteration of the forum up, I used the option that would try to determine whether someone was a human or bot, and ask them to verify whether they were human if it couldn't otherwise determine that, but it was excluding some people who were human, and seemed to prefer some browsers over others, so I disabled it.Am on a couple of sites where you have to verfiy you are human,
such as this one.
Bots don't have to register, so that won't stop them from doing what they were programmed to do. Fortunately, they are not spam bots. Spam bots post some rather odd things at times.Am on a couple of sites where you have to verfiy you are human,

Glad to be here. I missed this place. I only wish all the posts of the past were still available. Especially Beth Gallaghers, She had some awesome recipes.@Emma Hello, and welcome back to the forum! I'm glad you found us.
I wasn't a big talker.Welcome back Emma, although I don't remember the name Emma.
For that matter, if you are really (unreasonably, in my opinion) afraid of someone stealing your email address (which is not visible to bots, guests, or even members), you can change your email address to a throwaway email or even a non-working email address, although if you change it to an invalid email address, you won't be able to recover your password if you forget it. While you need a valid email to register, you don't need a valid email afterwards. However, your email address is not compromised here unless you give it out in a public thread, so I don't think that's a valid concern.Your email address, which is pretty much the only thing that is likely to be valid or useful to anyone, is not accessible to guests, bots, or even registered members.
You are leaving because of the bots? They are everywhere you go. We don't give them any useful info generally. Just don't tell people here where the secret plans are.I am gone.
You're lucky. My son doesn't use the internet, and ID thieves nailed him after my daughter failed to change our mailing addresses when we moved, and mail piled up in our old mailbox. But they didn't get anything. That's the one good thing about poor... Nobody can steal what you ain't got.I'm using my real name and, unlike the rest of you, my email address can be connected to the board, yet I have suffered no ill effects from it.
