Goodness, Biden auto pen signature a forgery

I have assumed that the autopen signatures are most likely forgeries, but I am not completely clear how the autopen works. I don't think ANY legal document should be signed by a machine of any kind. If it is on a proclamation, or a press release or something, that would be fine, but a pardon or a commutation--never. Imagine if you could get an autopen to sign checks on Elon's account. What fun that could be:)
