Gardening

I almost forgot — every year ramps (wild onions) and wild garlic come up in the pasture. Some of my horses would eat them, some would not. They are edible.

This year was a bumper crop. My brother pulled the biggest ones up. Some he ate here, the last batch he carried home because he doesn’t have them at either place in NE Ohio.

I am too lazy to go out and pull them up🫣🫣
I remember ramps when I lived in North Carolina, along with ginseng and creasy greens:)

Do y'all have armadillos up there? Those dang things tear up our lawn looking for grubs.
In Maine, yes, but our possums and armadillos are largely confined to the southern and coastal regions. The culprits here would be skunks. On my cameras, I see at least one skunk every night, maybe more, but I haven't seen more than one of them in a camera view at the same time.
