Games Chat

What a terrible experience Kate. I have just read the full report. Do you have hire car for x amount of time in your insurance cover? Thankfully no one was hurt. You have great neighbours.
Our neighbours sorta let us down , just as well we are pretty independent ….and don’t rely on others words
( Wayne had a colonoscopy a week ago and said his backside is still sore ) BS …

Ouch I’ve needed them …. @Madge Bumstead im heading home today ( hired a car ) to take stuff home we got out of the car , and extra stuff we’ve got here I don’t need ….be back tomorrow to bring car back

I’m still not sure what’s happening with hubs apart from he’s getting a pacemaker fitted tomorrow if they can fit him in, other wise he will be there in hospital till they can ….and get him stabilised ,he had an funny attack again yesterday the nurses came in and dropped the back of his bed …did more blood tests there and then …I asked what that lot was for and they said magnesium and other minerals
Actually I’d put him on magnesium 3 times a week for his jumpy legs when sleeping 😴, so it’s good he’s getting those tests done
along with other minerals ,cause a severe deficiency can effects lots of things ( we eat a very good diet ) next to no junk food …we may sneak in a very odd KFC zinger burger …if we are heading home from the city late afternoon ……that’s about our limit
I

I think you need more 🤗🤗

For now, Katey, just try and take things one step at a time.

I called Jacqueline and Milly regarding putting together a pot of soup for you, we're getting together today. Milly just arrived at my house and Jacqueline is on her way!

Thank you everyone ….im feeling more settled ..I’m home ..hubs will improve ,he said this morning he’s feeling better than he has in quite a long time already ….

I’d booked the health bus to come home from which picks up from the hospital where hubs was , but while there we bumped into our neighbours ( he ( neighbour ) had an appointment for 2 confirmed melanomas he has on his neck )

who said they were going home ,so we could tag along with them , they charged us thier parking fee of $24 + $ 60.00 for Petrol
☹️☹️☹️pretty mean under our circumstances …….. when hubs has saved them hundreds if $$+ doing jobs for them that required a trades person ( hubs is qualified/ licensed to do )and charged nothing😨…Never mind ..my last word is ….you know who to trust when you are in the
position we was ….He the neighbour , may need our help again one day ….

The Heath bus would have cost us $14 + ( $7 each ) a taxi from where it stops …at a guess $10 as bus stop is 3 km away

That was very mean in my opinion Kate. Live and learn eh? No more freebie jobs to him from now on I would say. At the end of the day it is wonderful that your hubby is feeling so much better. Is the insurance company being pro-active in settling the matter with the car?

We’d have to wait for a month for a Forensic SA goverment drug and Alcohol test to come back , it gives a timeline of 4- 5 weeks

Then the insurance will decide if we are getting a replacement car of the value of the day cash for the car ..we was paying premium car insurance. @Milly Robertson

Games are fun ,but in all honesty I’m not feeling like participating just yet , maybe it’s the shock ….but I’ll still be around just not playing much in the way of games just yet

I’m sitting to sleep better after a week of sleeping an hour if I was lucky …got 7 hours altho a little interrupted last night .

I’ve bought a sight unseen car in Adelaide , from a dealership that only deals in “ good cars” it’s a Holden cruise hatch that will give us freedom to go do a bit of shopping / attend numerous doctors appointments

Thank goodness you are now sleeping better Kate. Buying a second hand car is excellent. You need your independence where you live. Like us public transport is non-existant. Certainly don't take up the offer of your neighbours driving you anywhere.

No way would I ever ask ….. them over the back ….for anything @Milly Robertson

This is an actual photo of the car we’ve bought , the man I spoke to called Josh said they don’t keep or sell “ old cars “ it’s a prestige second hand car yard .
This is the photo of the car ,it was even made in Adelaide

I’m feeling more me , by the day , got 7 hours sleep last night it makes a huge difference if you can get some restful sleep 😴

It wasn’t just the accident ,it’s hubs health , and when your loved hubby of 40 years is seriously ill it’s a shock to our system ( both of us)
As you all know we are fairly active , and it took the wind out of our sails.

The head cardiologists at Royal Adelaide hospital did a good job halving the pill he takes if and when he had a AF attack / event what ever it’s called he seems to be quite well now altho a little weak from a week in bed

The car is good to drive , I found our Nissan a excellent height for getting in and out of ,after years of suffering from hip pain
( bursitis)and driving a Toyota Corolla .

I’m finding in a short time the hip doesn't like the lower car , but we will survive till we get anther car like the Nissan or hopefully another Nissan latter model ( ours was 2020 )

Hubs sent the offending neighbours a text a while ago ,being polite and asking him not to come to our home , as he’s done uninvited ☹️☹️ twice since we got home last Friday ( seen him on our security camera ) we was away getting the car the first time ….
R said ( true) we are vegging out relaxing / taking it easy to both recover from our trauma and when we want visitors we will invite them
Which will be never with over the back mob …..once bitten by …SCUM …. 😨of the earth ~ they never get a second chance in this house .

Back to us hubs tagged along while I went out shopping for a little food today , he said he’s feeling the best he has in years which is the very best news to my ears.

Now we can relax in our own company ,in our own home ~~ and smile and say we are alive ..so now smile 😊

Kate........ That news sounds just wonderful that hubs is feeling great...
The fact you are also getting out and doing something is also great..
As far as the car goes, you can always get what you like later, but at least for now, you do have transportation to get out and about... Yes the Nissan was a bit higher and easier to get in.. I know as I also have a Nissan Rogue.. They are great cars..
Your neighbours sound like if you never see them again, you aren't losing anything..
Just take care of yourself and hubby,,
