Exercise, Walking, Etc.

We’ve walked each day thats an average of 4 km each day …..on top of dancing last Thursday and again yesterday afternoon ….then again tomorrow from 10 am to 12.30 …..then we are going home for a month …not going anywhere ….

As I’ve mentioned I live in a farming area ( we are not on a farm ) and we have a predicted mouse plague on our hands ……not looking forward to that

Well it’s just as well ..ya haven’t banned me as yet ……:ROFLMAO:cause I’m techin ya how to spell correctly

But ya know ….i went to a catholic school , where nuns bashed us to speak correctly , spell and add up without a calculator …..wot were those things anyway ….:ROFLMAO:count money ….if we had any

And then it all changed to metric in 1966 …when I was still in my very early 20’s …

Please move this if it should be in a different thread @Ken Anderson @Yvonne Smith

Port Adelaide ….my hubby walking the dog

This area was very polluted , being a port ….and was very “rough “…..still is in places ( typical port )

it’s where many who immigrated from overseas countries in the 1950 / 1960’ got their first glimpse of South Australia getting off a ship they in many cases had been on for weeks ….months

Much of the polluted soil has been covered up with a Mtr +…. of soil and 100’s what many call “ dog boxes “ ( homes ) built on the land

When I do my 3 mile rural walk, I go on a back trail lined with trees, some Mulberry, where the Redwing Blackbirds nest in the spring. They are very protective of their area and assault anyone walking down the trail. While they come within inches of the top of my head, I have never been able to get a good close up photo. They always attack from behind, so the best I can do is get a shot while they rapidly ascend. They do some interesting aerial maneuvers. Here is photo evidence of their assault on one old lady, one such as myself. They are fast!

We get redwing black birds visiting our yard sometimes but I have never had any attack. They don’t have any nests nearby neither, so there's that. Birds can be super protective of their nests. It’s those damn mocking birds around here that are mean SOB, if you stumble upon their space. At one time when I had an outdoor cat, they would dive bomb the cat, and kitty would do a tuck and roll and…. ZOOM to safety.😾 It was funny, and not funny. :giggle: I always came across Killdeer birds, when out for a walk. They would fake an injured wing or something; flopping around on the ground chirping like a nut case, if I got to close.

We haven't had Mockingbirds or Stella Jays for years. Yes, they were mean and noisy. Once the Ravens and I made friends, they ran off all the Jays, so it was a good deal. The Redwings hang up where the mulberry trees are, so no problem at my place about 1/4 mile away. The only time they bother me is nesting time and before the babies fly away.

Today for first time in a couple months I walked around 1/4 of the trail, not far but further than I've been able to do lately.

What kind of workout if any do you do?

I need to restart doing some exercises !

I used to walk a lot , do some weights , resistance bands also

After my husband got sick & he was at the hospital for awhile & also my two dogs died last year I got depressed & tired . Just didn't feel like doing it . Ate too much ugh

I gained 15 lbs , I'm a normal bmi but would feel better at a lower weight !

He can start walking soon so that will be good for the both of us ☺️

We have walking pad , exercise bike ,weights & yoga ball in a room !🤗

I will try a little at a time ☺️
