America 250th anniversary this year !

One of the special things happening this year was the Freedom Train, which has been working its way across America sine the spring of this year.
President Trump flew out to meet the train and rode on the train as it went on towards Washington DC, stopping along get way for people to wave at the president, just like happened back in the olden days when presidents went on trains to campaign instead of flying everywhere.

There are a multitude of things being televised on all the national TV stations. I will be well entertained.

I am already mentally preparing for the neighbors with the military artillery to start shooting off rounds upon multiple rounds of ammunition. I understand they feel the need to celebrate in a big way if they do that, but after their last episode, I pray my horses don’t colic and I lose my 30 something year-old horse over it. …….

It will be over until next year in no time. Your horses will be fine.

Our dumb-ass town is doing the fireworks display tomorrow night rather than on the 4th. I have no idea why they would make this decision. If they can't do it on the 4th, they should skip it altogether.
Dumb-ass town, eh? 🫏 Sounds like Democrat :poop:'s trying to defy Trump by celebrating on the 5th. :ROFLMAO: I bet your mayor got a personal memo from AOC. It smacks of that kind of genius. :sneaky:

Yesterday morning, I put out our four flags (on sticks) into the ground by our patio. We went to breakfast at 9AM, and the private lake on the other end of Loveland, people were already parking and setting up canopies to watch the fireworks display at 9PM over the lake. For us, at our age, "no way"! We watched, on tv, fireworks from NYC (on CNN) and Macy's Fireworks. Took some terrific iPhone 17 Pro videos of those firework displays. No gunfire that we know of and the other "booms" ended at midnight.

IOW, it was a rather nice 4th!

We just stayed at home, didn’t go to a parade or even watch fireworks, but the whole country seemed to really be putting on a great display for our 250th Independence Day celebration, just from the photos and videos that I saw online. The Freedom Train went across the whole country, and some of the airlines have special paint jobs to help celebrate , too.
Seeing all of the Independence themed displays is awesome, and I could not help but mentally comparing this with the last few years of Biden, who had all of the lgbtq stuff and transgender people half naked displaying on the White House lawns for holidays instead.

As I understand it, the Millinocket town council decided to do their fireworks on the 5th rather than the 4th because people drive to Bangor for their larger fireworks display on the 4th. I doubt that very many people do that since it's 70 miles each way, and parking where they can be seen is a problem; plus, I had always found that Millinocket put on a pretty good display for a small town, and a lot of people came out for it, more so than they might think because there are other places in town where they could be viewed other than the designated viewing site, and these places were generally packed as well. Probably, one or two people on the council planned to drive to Bangor, so they assumed that half the town would do that.

I am predicting that next year, these same councilpeople will want to cancel the local display altogether on the basis of a low turnout this year. People didn't turn out for the local display because 1) 4th of July fireworks on the 5th doesn't make sense; 2) whoever might have driven to Bangor on the 4th would be less likely to turn out for a less impressive display on the 5th; 3) most people probably expected the town display to be on the 4th because they don't read the weekly paper where it may or may not have been posted and only about half dozen people attend town council meetings; and 4) no one will have expected the 4th of July display on the 5th. The council won't consider the real reasons why it wasn't well-intended; they'll just assume that people weren't interested.

There were some very wild things that went on 4th of July night. Fights, burnings, looting, deaths and lots of arrests of teenagers around the U.S. Local Law Enforcement Officers were even injured by fireworks thrown at them. Just what the "H" is going on today with many young folks/teens? Gangs infiltrating celebrations and "teen takeovers" that turn ugly, as well as being illegal?

What are your thoughts?

I find it infuriating and I have to wonder what the hell has happened to parenting in America. People are out of control because they simply have no boundaries anymore, and this begins AT HOME.

I wasn't aware that such was happening in other places. Usually we have some kind of trouble and sirens all night, but this 4th, just lots of booms from loud illegal fireworks, no fires, no sirens, no arrest, no property damage, and no problems reported.

As far as parenting in America, I think what little control parents had was lost during the four years of Democrat fascism. Caring parents were stripped of rights by school boards, other government agencies, and the unnecessary biological war fought with a virus, forced kids into being online for most of their socialization, leaving parents on the defensive and at a loss how to handle situations.

Parents had no idea what brainwashing their kids were victims of.

All the WOKE :poop: caused further division between parents and kids. With kids being encouraged and sponsored, to protest any cause without knowing what they were protesting, lawlessness ensued. Criminal behavior under the disguise of civil disobedience, was encouraged. When kids see their grandmas out singing stupid vulgar songs, holding signs supporting terrorism, and causing unrest, I will go out on a limb and say maybe the good parents have just given up.
