How are you today 1-10?

I've been having weird (negative/anxiety) dreams about my last job for the past few nights. I wake up in a foul mood. I got no idea why this garbage started. I got laid off from that place and shoved into retirement over 10 years ago.

Some folks talk about their mind racing when they go to bed. I'm fine then. Mine starts when I wake up, whether it's from these recent dreams of from stuff that needs to be done but I procrastinate on.

So I'm a 2 when I wake up, and increase to maybe a 7 as the day progresses. I'll be at 9 those moments when lab work/scans come back fine.
 
Good morning to all-

Like most days, I am at level 9.

It's a fine day, I am able to do what I want, I have good food to eat, my family is well, finances are OK.

The only thing that keeps me from a long series of level 10 days is the worrying state of politics we all have to hear and live with.

And the Cardinals are on the edge of making the post-season playoffs. what more could I need?

Went to see my PCP with the usual gift box. Shingles! I have had chicken pox twice and my vaccination is up to date. Well, it means it will not be as bad as it could be. Shot, pills, creams. I have it from hair, eyebrows to toes. Just what I ordered from Amazon!!! Do not scratch. Pull my nails. It could have been worse timing for a face looking like got mange though. At least SO can not catch it. It is all mine. Mine!

That's scary stuff. I'd imagine most of us here have had chicken pox. My last GP was miffed I made him test to see if I had contracted it in my childhood because I could not remember, and I believe you should not get the shingles vax if you have not had chicken pox. I've had both types of vaxes for it (Zostavax and Shingrix.) I've never had a flu shot, but shingles is nothing to mess with.
 
When I asked her years ago, mom said I had about six chicken pox, but I had had the vaccine. No wonder I didn’t remember.

I don’t say THAT “S” word although the 💩💩💩💩 word is a big part of my vocabulary.

I am not vaccinated for the “S” word and don’t plan to be. I am much more prone to bacterial garbage than viral garbage.

After being out in the heat all weekend and crawling myself to the Chiropractor, to put me back together again yesterday, I am back up to being a 9 3/4. I’m too old to be a 10.

Me either. I don't plan to have any more vaccinations for anything. I have never even had a flu shot.

I had a mild case of shingles in 2017; the rash followed a nerve path up my left arm from just above my thumb to my shoulder. I got an antiviral medication along with gabapentin which seemed to stop the progression.
