Is "Old" age creeping up on you?

Same. Seems like I just woke up one morning and was suddenly an old person.
I was OK until I looked in the mirror with MY GLASSES ON!
I need to replace a ceiling fixture. It fights both wall switches. Over the years I have put in huge hanging fixtures on landings to small one bulb fixtures. Today I am trembling trying to figure out if I can climb on a ladder to do this simple one in the laundry room. Not only that but I have to go into the basement to shut off power. Both are harder with one leg and one arm objecting. Hubby can't do it and I hate to impose on people. My mechanic could do it at a price but he is finally building his business by word of mouth and is busy.
Maybe I am getting old?

You are never imposing on people who care!
I have a granny ladder with full steps and a safety rail at the top to clean kitchen cabinets and fan blades.

Old is a relative term. I know 40 year olds who are grey through and through. Mumby was a shrewd business woman, witty, charming, worked a room without effort. When she retired she retired from everything. No! I crawled out of the black hole, worked on what I can work on without surgery mainly attitude and cattitude and will enjoy what I can. It is the first time I have long hair. A pita but it feels so good. Ok, loosing almost 1/3 of myself after letting family and work drive me into the black hole was not really that difficult. SO was very supportive after I made a decision and stuck with it. Have a good laugh - Invisalign to get a rouge front tooth under control did the job. Brush, floss, get it in, get it out, brush floss, get it in, …. . Two years into this did the job. The house is almost ADA and no changes needed now. The physical therapist who works with me on my torn muscle/tendon puts me through a lot more than he needs to. I feed him well and not only goodies. Two more months and it will be back to the street. Then maybe a bike. Strutting around the house in Western boots to learn how to walk properly again. Push up bra? Anything that does not require anesthesia. There is no such remedy for general ailments that beats a smile, a kind word or a compliment. Be kind and kindness will find its way back to you. It may not be free Botox but it comes without ingredients you cannot pronounce.
