I wouldn't care about Henry's politics, as he's welcome to whatever political views he wants to have, but the cursing and personal attacks were too much.

Yes, that guy that got banned deserved it.
But it also opened my eyes to a couple of things. I knew this was a conservative site just by some of the random comments in other sections.
However, I had no idea there were people here who are so far down the MAGA rabbit hole they believe anything and everything Trump says.
Someone said something about 'liberal hogwash' in another thread, and I quoted them and asked that was. I got no response.
Being the father of two adult gay children, (that alone will get me shunned by half the people in here), I cannot, in good conscience, rub elbows with some of the people in here who seem to think 'the libs' don't deserve to have the same rights as everyone else.
So anyway, thanks to the folks who've been nice during my short stay here.
To the rest, I hope one day you wake up to see, all politics aside, what a small, petty, vindictive, all round slimy human being Donald Trump truly is.

Actually communicating with people who have opinions differing from the ones you have chosen to adopt can be tough, I know. It requires a thought process. It requires actually knowing why you believe whatever you've chosen to believe, and some people just aren't built for that. It's so much easier to stay in la-la land, where nothing or no one ever challenges you. I'm sorry you couldn't handle it, Dave. Given that politics inherently involves multiple opinions, staying out of the politics section might have been a good idea.

Very sad to me to see a senior that spouts such about President Trump, but gives us no documented breakdown of why he is vindictive, for starters. If he was vindictive, then a lot of Democrats would be in jail as well as judges and juries that tried him using false testimony. People who clearly violated the rule of law and defied the US Constitution, on many levels. So smear #1 displays ignorance and hatred.
Smear #1 prefaces: Small? He is everything but small whether physical or lacking in courage. What president ever emerged from being pushed down by the secret service to yell, fight, fight, fight, after being nearly murdered? Only one I know. Petty? I don't think the poster knows what this means. Petty would be jailing Pelosi over tearing up his speech. He is far from petty. Petty was the Democrats going after parents for voicing their opinions at school board meetings. That was not only petty, but fascist.
Smear #2: All around slimy? Here again this accuser has no idea about slime. Being a ranch girl, I can educate him about slime, things like mule snot, scum on a pond, insect puke, or icky slimy mushrooms. Reaching inside a cow to turn her calf, is prehaps the ultimate exercise in slime, and involves most of the turners arm. Lancing a abscess might also be considered releasing slime. I think this is what happened in the last election. The abscess was lanced and the slime released out in the open where all can see, but some choose not to.
He did get human being right, so that is the only intelligent thing I read out of that string of hate.

Actually, I believe everyone has "been nice during your short stay." This is not a mean-spirited forum. As for the "liberal hogwash" comment, that was me. I chose not to respond and take that thread farther off topic. Besides the fact you have mentioned a few times that you don't "venture into politics" so I decided to let it slide. Arguing with a liberal is a pointless endeavor in my experience.
Trump is not a perfect person, but I hope some day YOU will wake up and realize that he is trying to do the best for this country. Biden was a disaster, and Kamala would have been a much larger disaster. Of course you won't ever appreciate what Trump is trying to do and that's your loss. I hope you find a liberal landing place with hive-minded people; heaven knows the internet is full of them.

If this guy is still reading here, I will take the liberty to break down hogwash.
Hogwash is in reference to kitchen scraps and what was scraped and washed off plates, pot, and pans by hog farmers. Solids and liquids were mixed together and put in a slopbucket and fed to the hogs. This slop resembled vomit and if not taken out to the hogs daily, smelled. Some hog raisers still get these scraping and wasted food from restaurants and feed it to their hogs.
So Beth's reference to liberal hogwash was accurate, descriptive, and also relevant to the false parroted narratives that we hear coming from the ones that hate the President so bad, they are willing to run down their country and sell it to known enemies. When most all the liberal narratives from the past years, have been proven false, I think referring to it as hogwash is not only accurate, but sugar coating it. If the vile coming from some of these liberal parrots could be put in a slopbucket, I think I would take it to the hazardous waste disposal. It is too toxic for pig food.

This is something that a lot of ridiculous liberals love to bring up. As a person who grew up during the Viet Nam conflict, I can say with absolute CERTAINTY that at least 90% of all draft-eligible young men were trying to figure out how to dodge the draft. NO ONE wanted to be sent to the jungles of Viet Nam.
I have the utmost respect for any Viet Nam veteran, particularly those young men who were drafted, then DIED in that conflict without ever having had a choice. That was a true American tragedy. So in my mind, "draft dodger" is a non-issue.
Don't criticize things you have no knowledge of, and don't criticize young people for not wanting to DIE when they have barely lived. One way to shut down liberals would be to re-instate the draft.

I'm leaving with you, Dave. I, too, enjoyed all the people here and thought I could stay if I avoided political talk, but then, just now, made the mistake of thinking the Pam Bondi thread would just be about here.
Years ago when I saw Donald Trump ridicule and mock a man for his disability I vowed never to vote for him and I've stood by that.
I totally understand how difficult it can be for someone to actually carry on a conversation with someone who didn't vote for the same candidate you did. That can be scary because someone might actually ask you why you vote the way you do. What can you say to that? Communication can be intolerable, so I wish you well in la-la land. Bye, and Godspeed.

My entire family are Democrat except for me. Not sure they are all insane. One was just complaining about hating wokeness. But I have not left the family. We just don't talk politics. When all this is over ie Trumps term, the world will have seen the greatest US president and mostly understand.

I already said the number one reason I didn't vote for Trump, so I don't know why you would expect me to be afraid to explain myself.
If you want more reasons:
Saying that he thought the veterans who died for our country were losers.
Bragging, boasting and lying.
Insulting people, particularly women.
Divorcing two women and cheating on all three wives.
Inciting a riot on January 6th.
Casting unwarranted suspicion on our voting system.
Making enemies of our long term allies.
Claiming to be a Christian but never going to church except for funerals, weddings, etc.
Not being able to quote a single verse of the Bible. Putting his own face inside a version of the Bible.
Trying to buy or take Greenland.
Continually using bad language.
Fostering hatred and division among Americans by insulting all Democrats.
Blaming past administrations for all his own failures.
Harsh anti-immigrations policies.
Harsh treatment of people who were hired under diversity rules.
Rolling back environmental policies.
Lowering the amount of respect Americans once received from other countries.
Starting a war.
@Andie White, I agree with some of the items on that list, while there are others that I don't, and some of those that I agree with are things that I don't care about in a president
