What Are You Doing Today?

Moved some more firewood around and raked up the dregs. I popped a couple of acetaminophen/ibuprofen tablets before bedtime last night, and work up tired and a little sore. Serves me right for being so lazy. Rearranged stuff on the racks, and brought more wood to the front porch. Still gotta do more kindling and hand-select some dry, heavy logs for overnight burns, then clean the flu. I have room on the racks for another load. I'm gonna find a replacement supply for the guy who had a stroke, testing quality and price. I might have a chance to do this again with another supplier before the winter is over. I gotta have a second source to split my business with.

Also cleaned a ton of thick vines off of the chicken wire sides of my utility trailer. I didn't bother trying to untangle all of them...I pulled the trailer out which ripped the vines out of the ground and then clipped where I could between the holes in the chicken wire. I'll pick the stuff off after it dies and dries out. I don't know how many loads of gravel I've had put down, but Nature finds a way. If I didn't have so many critters here I'd spray some industrial-strength defoliant on the driveway...but I won't poison the food chain.

Feeling a lot better. So an hour of stretching and working with bands. Not fun but necessary.
We have to empty the big freezer and take inventory. Pulling a truck partially out of the garage and using the tailgate as table will be helpful. Then there is the basket of ironing which smiles at me. Or is it laughing?
Take inventory of the big freezer? What a novel concept!
I told my chiro that I had some short ribs for her from my last order--if I only knew where I put them.

We voted early last week to avoid the crowds at the polls today. I'm really nervous about the Texas senate race, and if Tallarico wins this will be my last time to ever cast a vote; I will be done with politics. I'm sick of all the political ads so I'll be happy when this day is done.

I'm still obsessing about cataract surgery options so I'm getting my "ask the surgeon" questions ready for tomorrow. I wish I was one of those people who go in, get limited information beyond the surgery date, and have the procedure done while remaining clueless. Like my sister... her doctor said she needed cataracts removed. She had the surgery and has no idea what kind of lenses she has or whether she had laser surgery or not. Her eyesight is 100% better and she has not had to wear glasses since.

Same thing for my husband's brother in law... he had the surgery and doesn't have a clue about what type of lens was implanted in his eye. I on the other hand, have to research stuff to death and obsess over it for months; frankly it gets exhausting.
I watched all the yt vids on hip replacement surgery before mine. I wanna know!
