What Are You Doing Today?

I will go grocery shopping in a bit, to get that dreaded chore off my list. Then later, it will be off to the first of several appointments to visit the Oncology surgeon that will do my surgery. Then next month, there will be several labs and a visit to another Oncology surgeon that will review the labs and then give me a complete physical to determine if I can survive this 4 hour surgery. At this point, nothing indicates I can't, but these highly qualified doctors don't like to take chances and want to document everything. Today the doc will do measures on my abdomen so he can plan his plan of attack.

I have begun my search for the most comfortable clothes for cath wearing. Today, I ordered a pair of thigh high custom made leg warmers. I think those with a slightly above knee skirt. will do the job nicely. I have one pencil skirt picked out and also a suede skirt with a matching wrap top. I may look for a Hopi silver concho belt to give it some accent. Maybe a pair of lace up moccasins would really give the outfit some class.

Saddened by all the flooding in the Four Corners area. It is unbelievable how much area it covers. The devastation is just beyond comprehension.

I'm about to leave for a visit to my ophthalmologist. My eyesight is getting really concerning and I'm going to have to have something done, so I need some real answers about the actual condition of my retina in the left eye and whether it is viable enough for cataract surgery.

So the rest of my day will be a bust because once my eyes are dilated it takes many hours for them to recover. Ugh; I just HATE that.

Hoping all goes well for you at the eye doctor, @Beth Gallagher , and adding prayers that they have some answers that look good for you. Take care and let us know once you are able to write on here again and your eyes are back to normal.

Thanks, Yvonne. I'm home and squinting a lot. I got the bad news that my vision in the left eye has deteriorated rapidly, though I already knew that because I'm the one looking out of it. The vision test went from 20/30 vision in May to 20/100 today. 😖 Thankfully my right eye is still pretty good but lefty has got to have the cataract surgery soon.

How's Bobby doing today?

Sleep last night was more lack waking up every hour until about 3 am. So yawning has been my thing today. Just woke up from a nap and having coffee to see if I can wake up even better. Took hubby back to dentist, and they worked again on the dentures.
He says not perfect yet, be least he eat the veggie soup and a minced ham sandwich few chips.
I am freezing to day. It is cloudy still after the rain this morning,
Aside for kitchen clean up do not see my ding much rest of the day.

I like to watch this youtube channel; this couple travels all over the US. I thought you might enjoy this trip to your part of Kansas!

I think we are just resting up today ! This has been a traumatic few days for both of us, and we really needed a good night’s sleep last night. So, today is just going to be the usual household chores, and then a recuperation day for us.
Bobby is going to be doing inner ear research (he really does NOT want to end up in that hospital again, and I do not want him to, either), and I am going to pet my purring kitty cats and knit some socks.
I had a short time where I was having very dizzy spells and someone / somewhere recommended this ….i went to a chiropractor to have it done ( no bone crunching ) you can print instructions from online how to try / do it yourself
I had one treatment and it was fixed ….thankfully never had it again …think it was something to do with inner ear crystals tell your hubby ….

@Bobby Cole it’s worth trying @Yvonne Smith
