A tab is kind of like a place holder. i.e. when you come to SOC there will be a 'tab' at the top of the screen. Right now, the top of my screen holds "How many tabs do yo..." , my email address, a youtube symbol, and directions to Devil's lake,
I was just researching.

Do you mean LOCKED so you dont close them by mistake??

I can do that also.. LOCK TABS...

What's a base ?

A base is a MESSAGE BASE where messages all on the same subject are posted for easy finding ;)

Thanx for asking Liz :)

Right now I have 9 open...

Oh I see. I can't see anything like that at the top of my screen, but it's just a phone I'm on.
Thank you for explaining.

I'm still confused but nevermind.
I'm no good with anything technical.
I think I saw you on another forum talking about bases.
Thank you for explaining.

I don't know what the terminology is, but on a Mac, you can slide tabs over to the left that you want to retain, even if you choose to close all tabs. For example, I keep the forum tab there, along with the public and private sides to the directory I work for, a template that we use, and, at this time, I am working on our Wales section, so I have a page of Welsh cities, towns, and villages there; when I finish with Wales, I'll delete that one. The others, I just close when I'm done with them.

I can say, in all honesty, that this is all like complete double Dutch to me :ROFLMAO:
