Wife is in Emergency!

Glad to hear your wife is OK and her BP has settled , it’s scary when it gets up that high …. @Tony Page

My hubbies hearing aids are connected to his phone , if we are in a noisy place like a dance hall, if he can’t hear others talking to him he can put his phone on the table so voices are picked up via the phone

He can also answer his phone via a little switch on his hearing aids …….. , however I believe not all phones are compatible with hearing aids , hubs has a Apple 12 iphone pro …., our neighbour has an android and he’s H A won’t work with his phone.

When he first got the HA he took the hearing consultants advice , and got the model up from what I’ve got ….as it worked better / clearer without interference / screeching ,he even uses it for GPS if we need road directions while away

Compatible phones for hearing aids are generally
iPhones (M3/T4 rated) and many Androids (especially Samsung Galaxy S/Z series, Motorola) that support Bluetooth and have high M/T ratings (M4/T4 best) for reduced interference, with direct streaming (Made for iPhone/Android) and dedicated apps (like Oticon, Widex, Phonak) enhancing connectivity, so check your hearing aid brand's app compatibility list for specific models.

I think the connection is more dependent on the hearing aid than the phone. Most phones will use Bluetooth, but I don't know if all hearing aids will receive it. The apps make it much easier. Check the app store for the brand of hearing aid your wife has @Tony Page. If there is an app, it will probably work.

I have to check into it, we have the Samsung s25 phone.
 
I just saw this, Tony. Man, I'm glad things are OK. Heck of a way to spend the anniversary. jeez

I guess there are two magic works in the ER that get you to the head of the line: "Heart" and "Stroke."

Yep I’d agree HA have come a long way compaired to what they used to be ….any good consultant if that’s what you call a hearing aid person should be able to advise what’s best

That’s the way my hubs was advised he got the hearing aids first ,then got his phone, it was during coviad lockdowns so he had to order his phone online and get it posted as Apple shop was closed .

His H A are replaced free of charge every 2 years to the latest models

I don’t have HA but my hearing is nit as good as it once was

We called emergency for my Wife her blood pressure was over 200 and her heart rate was 144. She forgot to take her heart meds this morning. She took them, but they didn't help.
