I thawed out a chuck roast so I'm about to toss it into the crockpot with seasonings for "Mississippi Pot Roast." I'll see if my husband wants mashed potatoes or rice, and I'll probably steam some broccoli.

I like to use the crockpot in hot weather since it doesn't heat up the kitchen.

Thanks. We had a quiet 4th but I'm not complaining. (Well, I always have something to complain about but in this case not Independence Day!!) I hope you had a nice one, too. Maybe you can break that hot dog record next time.
