What Are You Doing Today?

I went to one of the bigger farmers market this morning. I bought a beautiful head of red leaf lettuce, fresh green beans, and sweet carrots. I also bought a package of two turkey legs. Plus, some blueberries and blackberries. I almost bought some beets because they are so sweet and good when cubed and roasted, but I did not purchase any today because I can get carried away buying fresh produce, when it all looked as good as it did today.

I love fresh veggies that still have some snap or crunch to it. The one vender who sells the lettuce, beans, carrots, and beets; etc. always has amazing fresh produce. Now, I can’t decide if I will have a big bowl of steamed green beans to eat for supper or a big delicious salad.

Other than crawling under a renter’s house to fix a water leak, I tried out a new pressure washer Yvonne got from her reviewer’s program from Walmart. Can’t beat “free” for a Father’s Day gift !

The machine is lightweight, has a digital pressure interface on it and 4 snap-on pressure tips and does a derned good job !
Do note that the test surface was “suggested” by Yvonne 2 days before it was delivered so being the gentleman that I am, I took the suggestion to heart and absolutely did pressure wash the back steps within about an hour or so after it was delivered.
And….since I still stink even after a Hot shower after coming out from under that house, I’m temped to get naked in the back yard and have Yvonne stand back about 5 feet and test out the foaming attachment and then pressure wash me.
I digress…
After I was finished, Yvonne took her “proof” pictures of the steps and I wrote a review so she could post the whole shebang on the Walmart site.

Now, as to the rest of the day, I don’t plan on doing much else today except maybe a small workout but to use the axiom developed by mankind a few millennia ago, “I’m old and don’t feel like doing much else”.
I should feel younger by Monday so maybe it’ll be the other axiom: “ today the steps, tomorrow the world”.

My lady friend was moved to a different facility yesterday afternoon, at her request. She is officially in rehab for the next 3 weeks, and then a determination will be made as to what level of care is appropriate. I visited her this morning and she is in good spirits.

Now I'm just waiting on the real estate folks to show up so I can put my house on the market, assuming the market value is enough to make it worthwhile.
Where will you go from this house?
Nevermind, I caught up on reading responses.

I will listen to an old friend whine for an hour on the phone. She turned from a trilingual executive assistant on top of things into an old woman with perpetual mystery ailments her body is self curing. It is a crying shame!
Got extensive instructions from a friend on how a neighbor should deal with her daughter’s hair problems. Cheer leader! That will take a while to work through with her.
Experiment with brioche hot dog buns.

I plan on laying low today. I am not a happy camper at all and could tare a person's head off today without remorse! Horrible night until after 3:30 am finally asleep. Up at 7. Sick and tired of family issues, and never hearing info that is needed a whole bunch of things. I am gonna skip all my other rants and just say.. I don't plan on doing more than reclining and going to the bathroom!:cry::(

Been there/done that. Try to not brood. And if you figure out how to do that, let me in on it. ;)

Small change. Clean up kitchen fire.

After church I went to a brunch with my old horse friends that did not have obligations to father's day. We usually have an egg casserole dish, sweet breads, fruit plates, and deserts. Today I brought an asparagus/carrot dish with a sauce on Martha Stewart's site. Vegetables are uncommon at our gatherings but this turned out well received.
I've made some headway on paperwork which gives me hope for more de-cluttering.
