Are People That Annoying or Is It Just Me?

I HATE that vocal fry thing. I also hate the tendency for (mostly young) people to add an extra syllable "uh" to words. It's particularly noticeable when they are exasperated, like "Dad" becomes "Dad-uh." Actually, it sounds more like "Daaaaaaad-uh!" 😅

There are several young men living in a house down the street, or at least hanging out there. I have no idea who actually lives there anymore, but there are always several vehicles parked all around that place. (It's on the corner.) This morning, a few of them are out in the driveway working on a car, revving the engine and speeding up and down the street. The car sounds like it doesn't have a muffler on it and I'm getting crankier by the minute.

It seems like things that didn't bother me in the past just infuriate me these days. I need to calm down but I resent all the unnecessary NOISE. People are very inconsiderate.

What's aggravating you these days?
One of the advantages of being 3/4 deaf is there is no noise that ever bothers me, regardless of how loud it is. 😄
I've heard people complaining about noisy kids in restaurants & barking dogs. I like noisy kids & I love any sound any animal makes anyway.
But reckless drivers really annoy me.

Do not touch me unless you are invited to do so! No!
Family functions were hell as the true followers of Mary Kay slathered stucco on. All are/were in the 5 foot range so their war pint ended up on my clothes. SO took it easy - skip blush and be a bit soft in the knees.

This is probably an add to what ever I said before. But, certain women's voices send me up the wall !
Women newscasters, and weather women who have high pitched irritating voices/ Mute, hit mute .

Being summer, unofficially, what annoys me is when people are riding these three wheeled motorbikes up and down the street when they should be on a country road.
No Von! We do not want these joy riders on our country roads! They can stay in town and hunt racoons. :sneaky:

I like our next door neighbors, but I'd like to strangle one who has a lawn-care obsession. He has a large yard (double lot) and since he retired a few years ago he has mowed his grass at least twice a week. That was bad enough, but with advancing age he now splits the 2 weekly mowings into 4 days so I have to hear that droning lawnmower 4 days a week. He cuts his front yard one day, back yard the next. Skip 2 days then repeat.

I guess he's bored but it is really annoying. If we try to sit out on the patio with morning coffee, we have to yell at each other over the drone of that dang riding lawnmower.

I feel a bit of the angry old man sometimes when I'm in a restaurant, and people at another table feel the need to be unnecessarily loud, particularly with exaggerated laughter, as if everyone in the building (and some of those next door) has to know that they are having a good time.

He has since died, but the guy who lived across the street from us - a really nice guy - was an auctioneer, and he would offer whatever didn't sell at auction for sale from his yard, and people would sometimes park directly in front of our driveway, which is something I would assume anyone would have the good sense not to do. We still get that sometimes when they are holding a concert or something in the park a block and a half from there. Who can grow old enough to drive a car and not know better than to block someone's driveway?

"Who can grow old enough to drive a car and not know better than to block someone's driveway?"

They know, they just do not care. They figure @ worst it is a ticket, which likely won't happen, and @ worst and even more unlikely to happen is that their vehicle will be towed.

IMO, unfortunately we now live in a world where common decency is almost unheard of.

I get Pizza guys that park "IN" my driveway, to deliver elsewhere. And ...... my driveway is a drive through, in one end, around the house, and out the other. I have had [in 25 yrs] about 3-4 people just drive through.
