What do YOU want this forum to be?

No, it could be used to discuss any kind of sports. The sports part doesn't have any ambiguity. However, the recreation part should be differentiated from exercise regimens for health, because that is probably best left in the health area. I'm hesitant to make it a category though, because in the first version of SOC, we didn't get a whole lot of sports talk.
I was thinking the same thing about the lack of sports fans here. I think there was a thread recently started about it, which went nowhere.

Personally I don't see the need for an entire section for sports. Seems like we have a discussion occasionally for the Olympics or sports-related scandals, but not much else.

Yay. Now Brunner can drag some threads around and get 'em populated. :D

Okay, I have created some of the topics you've been asking for. I am not at all opposed to a sports area, but I don't know whether it should be a category or a sub-forum, and if a sub-forum, then which category to put it under. I like Sports & Recreation as a name, but I would want to differentiate recreation for enjoyment's sake from a health regimen of exercise.
Can you hit us up with the topics you created so--as Mrs. Gallagher pointed out--threads can be moved there?

In Lounge & Coffee Bar, there is a sub-forum for Media & Entertainment.

There is a new category called Tools, Tech & Automotive that has sub-forums for Tools, Tech Topics, and Vehicles, the latter of which can include planes, trains, and automobiles, along with boats, tractors, etc.

I think we need a board under the Growing Old for Walkers, Canes, Wheelchairs, Chair lifts and Sticks.

After all it is advertised as an old folks forum, so why not make it easy for oldies looking for suggestions or comparisons, online, on all the devices that are associated with diminishing abilities, to find first hand info by the experienced users that frequent this forum of dine and whine.

Wouldn't that fit within the Life Challenges forum?

This it somewhat OT Marie. Insurance will provide most medical and support devices your treatment requires. Wheel chair and walker have mileage and may not be safe anymore.
