Lowering drug prices

We are already seeing the drug companies lower their prices for medications, so lower health care will probably happen before long, too. One of the reasons for the expensive health insurance IS because medication costs so much here in the United States. When something comes down from hundreds of dollars, to a few dollars, the insurance companies save money, too.
It might not happen this month, but probably by next year, we will see big changes in our health plans, and for the better.

Lowering drug costs have always been possible here, but American politicians on both sides have refused to do it as it impacts media revenue and cuts into political contributions. George W. Bush expressly refused, but I think Trump negotiated some things lower (Insulin, I think), and I think the Biden Administration lowered a couple things as well. Nothing they did could touch the increases of the ACA though on overall healthcare costs.

As I understand it, almost all drugs will cost less, at least the ones that were so expensive before. He basically told the companies that he would put a heavy tariff on all their products if they didn’t sell to Americans at the cheaper price that is used in many other countries, so they could not help but agree.
There is a new website that is being built where it shows you the cheapest prices for drugs. It is called Trumprx.com , and is there but still being set up. It will show the cheapest prices for you to order any specific medication.
So, liberals will probably refuse to use it, since it has Trump’s name on the website, and they might not save money on the prescriptions.

Empty promises cause by Dem obstruction this time? Can't let anything good reflect on Trump.
Trump had nothing to do with it until he was President. Congress, on the other hand, has been doing a whole lot of nothing for decades. By the way, don't waste your time typing all that "Dem obstruction" nonsense when you're talking to me. They didn't have the nickname "The Party of No", that was the Republicans.

By "1,000%, 600%, 500% 1,500%", right? That is what Trump said.

This is easy math, let's look at it using 500% as an example.

If something costs $1 and you reduce the cost by 500%, how much would the final cost be?
Original Cost - Reduction Amount = Final Cost. So let's calculate the Reduction Amount first.
$1 x 500% = $1 x 5 = $5

$1 - $5 = -$4.

Your Final Cost would be -$4.

So please explain to me how selling something for a negative amount of money is going to make a profit? I assure you Big Pharma will not agree to doing that... :ROFLMAO:

Note: I used this video as it was the only one I could find quickly where Trump was not being made fun of. I don't do that. I just wanted to demonstrate how what he is saying can not be done.

Could it be that Trump had a plan to lower insurance and drug costs by causing competition after getting rid of Obamacare but Congress stood in the way of EO's?

We take very little in the way of meds , mine is mainly BP meds and I get 2 months supply for $7.90 …which is really 4 months supply as I only take 1/2 of the 40 mg daily , the cholesterol pill lasts me for months

Hubs takes 2 , blood thinner and one for his prostrate so he doesn't have to get a dozen times a night

I was just looking at the TrumpRX website, which was supposed to be the answer to prescription drug prayers. Apparently it is as effective as any other government program... a dud. So much hoo-hah about prescription prices being cut to "the cheapest in the world" was just more lip-service. There are barely any drugs at all listed on the website, which has the poorest search engine in existence.

I'm afraid the gild is off the lily with a lot of Trump's promises. And no one is surprised.
