Inadvertent Naps and Other Signs of Geezerhood

Yes we both do and have for some time. I have decided we are just normal and that is all that matters. :)

Hedi, you can bet this normal person won't ever try a new exercise again.
I still can't get over how easy it was to cripple myself.
And I was in good shape considering how old I am. Walking trails everyday, cleaning up the forest, pulling vines, mopping, cleaning and dancing to music.
No way would anyone tell me something as simple as a couple squat's could cripple me for months.

Naps? Several most every day. I did have an unplanned one yesterday late afternoon. I woke up laying on the floor next to the dining room table. No idea how I got there, but apparently broke a large 2' vase on the way down. I don't know if I was down for 5 seconds or 5 minutes. I asked my lady friend who was no help at all. It's a scary thing, but seems to go along with late stage pulmonary hypertension.

Quit rearranging things the hard way! Are you ok?

Axel we have to be more careful now. A fall for us can be dangerous.
That is why I have a wheelchair. Using it like a walker, I can walk as far as I can, then sit down and rest, and get up and walk some more. On a good day, using the wall, my bedroom door, the bathroom door, etc., I can do 20 paces. The last time I fell, I was only 2 paces from my bed. My Doc tells me not to do that anymore, as my spine is fragile.

Napping is still my favorite sport.
It's a sport now? I bet I could get a gold medal for Afternoon Desk Chair Napping. But that is why I packed out a Chair that leans back to about 45°. Much better. If I could find a Recliner with a built in footstool and wheels... I could go for Long Distance Desk Chair Napping.

I've been on a walker off and on this past few months. I do have a wheelchair for Jake and I if needed. It has extra large wheels for gravel and trail walking. I got it a few years ago. Take care Azel.

But how will we get to the top of the Olympic platform?

Yet another Geezerism that plagues me... the "why am I in this room" dilemma. I walk all the way upstairs and then stand in the middle of the room, wondering what I was coming up here for. 🥸
That happens to me when I open the refrigerator, and its not unusual for me to go to the grocery store for three things, spend over $100 and come back with only one of the three things I went for.

I am also REALLY BAD about sitting my coffee down in random spots and forgetting it. It's kind of a running joke with my husband... "find my coffee." Once I sat a full cup of coffee on a shelf in the pantry and found it the next day. There are usually a couple of coffee cups mixed in with the Aerogarden supplies in the dining room.
