The best news I've received in the past year was that even though my husband had a burst appendix, he did not have peritonitis nor sepsis.
No real good news of any kind this year. If we go back just another month, then yes, sold my little hot rod roadster in 7 days at an internet auction. Good thing, because then a few months later, our HVAC died.
That Mackenzie Scott just gave $15 million to the Fistula Foundation. This will provide life-changing surgeries for 80,000 women who have obstetric fistula leakage of urine and feces because of childbirth damage. Fistula is the one of the worst diseases a woman can have. Fistula is sometimes called modern-day leprosy because the women are usually outcasts from their villages in third-world countries.
That my last VA Chemistry/Hematology Report May 11th, said: Sodium was 142, compared to 134 and 137 before (but have to lessen up on the salt some). Kidneys Functions was 69, compared to 57, 58 before. That means I'm eating better, but my VA doctor told me that I don't need a Nutritionist. My VA doctor looked back on previous VA Blood Labs and told wife and I that my kidneys now are in the best shape they've been in since 2020. Don't have to even think about Dialysis or bad kidneys function anymore.
Daughter's cancer was in remission even during covid and she came home to live. Unfortunate for her because she wants to keep living in Vermont but housing is too expensive there.
Be careful, Von. My daughter didn't really talk much till she was 4 and even then, not much. Now we can't get her to shut up! The trick to her autism; she didn't see the point so she didn't let info in or out. Now she is learning all sorts of things. Unfortunately she now listens to me rant about politics. I don't want her to discuss it with others. Her trying to make sense of knock knock jokes was a disaster.
