They were in Hungary also but I took my automatic Altima from the states with me...my husband did get another car while we were there and it was an automatic too, so that I could drive that plus he already had health issues and stick was harder on him.
@Holly Saunders Ah, both my cars in the UK were manuals. Had an FSO ( Polish Fiat ) and a Ford Cortina. The first car I ever owned was a 1962 Hillman Super Minx, that I bought in High School. You can tell I was into 'Muscle' cars...
ahhh memories one of the most popular cars of all time in the Uk was the Old Cortina ... I had a 2 litre in the 70's.. happy days... . My brothers' first car was a Hillman Minx...2 tone grey...
I still have a manual transmission car. It is a 1980 triumph spitfire. Less than 20,000 actual miles on it. So freaking fun to drive. But, when driving it around, everybody looks at you. I hate that! I am not driving it so you will look at me. I am driven it to have fun. Big difference!
I get that @Lakely Forest. I had a 1975 Chrysler Cordoba that I drove for 35 years, until someone stole it in 2010. It was totally demolished when it was finally located. I admit to crying. I loved that car. My boys learned mechanics on that car. They souped it up by adding an engine from a police car, and of course the rest of the car had to be built up to go along with the engine. It was so much fun to drive and the deep rumbling sound was wonderful.
Well when I see a beautiful old car (they were a thing of beauty back then) I have to look and admire Love the old cars
