Ok. I have had this webcam for several years and installed the software for it. So now what? Other than looking at myself sitting at my computer what else can I do? When I think about it these are probably questions I asked myself before those previous years passed.
Once I get a handle on this I'm going to record a message from 4 of my granddaughters to their cousin who lives in Georgia. They had such a great time when Siena was here for Christmas last year. My son told me that she had asked if they were going to Grandma's house one time the family was going somewhere else. Aww.
Von, I'd very much like to have them. I'm curious to know what my Sari is doing while I'm away. She wouldn't tell me.
I think, some 19 years ago, they were called another name. We bought one, before we moved to Colorado in 2002, to see and talk (live video) with my wife's sister. It would sit on top of the old "box" style computer screen and be pointed down at the person sitting in front of the computer. Unfortunately, the person being communicated with, has to have the same, or similar video camera setup/software. Her sister never got the video camera, so we sold ours at a yard sale. For the last few years, each of us have an iPhone that has Facetime with it. Facetime is a "live video connect" phone call. But, there again, the person being called has to have Facetime on their iPhone, to use the "live video connect". Wife and I have used ours and it's really neat to see the person you are talking to "live". In fact, my wife has had a Facetime job interview.
I have one friend who likes to call via FaceTime, and I hate having to put clothes on in order to answer the phone.
I would not attempt to do Facetime between these girls -- they would talk f-o-r-e-v-e-r. I couldn't do it any way, isn't that available only on iphones?
Have web, video cam on my Macs, ipad, and phone, not fond of them, but i do use Facetime on occasion, , is that the same as web and video. .
