At a lot of stores around here, especially large grocery stores, they are trying to push us into automated check outs. It started with being invited into them. then guided into them with a human 'tutor'. Then cutting back on cashiers thinking we would want to cut wait times by using them... At least our Walmart has user friendly machines. My daughter worked at a place with infuriating machines so that people just walked out with merchandise regularly.
