In the dim and distant past When life's tempo wasn't fast Gramma used to rock and knit, Crochet and tat, and babysit. Gramma now is at the gym Exercising to keep slim. Now she's golfing with a bunch, Taking clients out to lunch. Going North to ski and curl And all her days are in a whirl. Nothing seems to stop or block her Now that Gramma's off her rocker. P. S. And Grandpa no long sits and whittles He's also at the gym getting fit as a fiddle. Written by an anonymous poet and the P. S. by me.
P. S. And Grandpa no long sits and whittles He's also at the gym getting fit as a fiddle. Same old tune Same old instrument, Gramma says "go hi diddle diddle"
Truer words were never spoken. My mother, who is 93, doesn't even resemble a person her age. She was a health freak before there was a concept of it. She skied, rollerskated (danced), ice skated (also danced) , bike rode and many other activities with her friends who were in their 80's and 90's. I had her at the hospital the other night because she fell and I was worried she may have broken a bone. She didn't thank good, but all the nurses and doctors kept checkIng with me over and over again about her birthdate. They had never seen a 93 year old look so young. Says a lot about eating right and excersizing. I only hope to emulate her. Before she moved in with me with her severe dimentia, people would guess me in my 40's. I was in my 60's. however, I feel like a have aged 15 years in 4 and half years. Bummer. Stress is not my friend.
Feel so much for your circumstances Lakely, very sad situation I wish you strength through this difficult time
Oh my goodness! I'm not very savvy with this forum stuff. I meant to thank Patsy Faye for her kind words. Please forgive my mistake.
