‘Bro, you scared to see a dead person?’: Teens film, mock man as he drowned, police say.

I can't get the link, but it happened in Cocoa, Florida. Look it up on the internet.

Neither teen will be charged with anything, because they weren't directly responsible for the death.

Seems they won't be charged because of the law in Florida....you don't have to render help it seems.

Police: Family of victim 'frustrated' in lack of accountability
The state of Florida currently does not have a law where a citizen is obligated to render aid or call for help for anyone in distress.
"If there was (a law like that) we would charge them," Cocoa Police Department spokeswoman Yvonne Martinez told CNN by phone.
"The family is frustrated ... the detectives are frustrated, that we cannot hold anyone accountable for this," Martinez added. "No one deserves to go like that."

Could this be the highest form of bullying or hate?

Just really wonder what America is coming to.

Had gotten into an argument with his fiancé and took off. Somewhere along the line, he had walked thru a fenced in area of a retention pond and into the water with clothes on. He also has two kids. It was said that he was disabled (used a cane/walking stick) and had numerous tattoos.

IOW, he wanted to commit suicide and did.

When an elephant gets into water to deep and has problems other elephants will come and help.
I guess some people are not as smart as a wild animal. there is nothing as horrible of knowing you are going to die and people who could help will not

So this was an actual drowning. Abhorrent indictment against these young people. No charges pressed goes by me, as far less cruel behavior results in charges. Like a dog dying during a hike.

This is so true, and so terrible. I think that part of the problem is that we have lived with so much "virtual reality". Where things look real and aren't, that some younger people just do not have that distinction any more, and didn't look at this person actually drowning any different than if they were playing some VR game on their smartphone.
Another part is that the generation of entitlement people also have more focus on themself and barely any focus on anyone else nowdays. They want everything given to them, and never once stop to think that someone is actually having to give up something in their life to help pay for all the things they want for free. Whether it is their parents, or the government, someone still has to pay for it.
It is hard to comprehend that any human could stand by and watch another person die, and not at least try to help or call for someone that could help.

This whole story is sad but remember we have people in Las Vegas sitting at a computer killing some people half way around the world with a drone they don't even know. This is on purpose the excuse we are protecting ourselves.

Even though this was a terrible thing that happened, I truly feel that we have to watch just how much we criticize the young folks of today. My Generation, all of the "Baby Boomers" weren't exactly inocent of doing bad things. For those that were at Woodstock, a number of crappy things were done there. And, look at how our military troops were treated when they came back from Vietnam. Spit on, called names and other vile things. Thank God that's changed today, but it still happened back then.

Bottom Line; we aren't nearly as innocent of doing bad stuff and we portray we are.
