fish... We eat fish at least 3 times a week every week.. We love fish..
I used to fish up here and catch enough that we had my caught fish all winter long for 3 meals a week.......
I sold my boat and now we only eat bought fish which is either frozen, canned, or fresh........

Illegal.... We here in Canada are just in the process of legalizing marijuana ..
As of July 1st 2018, it will be legal to buy marijuana in stores and have it in your possession, however one still can't drive a vehicle while under the influence...

Do you agree with our government in legalizing marijuana..
My opinion is, it will eliminate the drug dealers who deal in it..
it will create a tax revenue that is awesome..
it will give those that need it for medical reasons the right to have it and obtain it legally..
Being government controlled, it won't be any different than tobacco, liquor, or beer..

I agree. I recently talked with someone who has drunk beer and (in the past) smoked marijuana. He said the effects of smoking a marijuana cigarette is about the same as drinking one beer. We have DWI laws against driving while under the influence of any substance. That would include marijuana. I'm not sure that we will ever legalize it, though. The police make loads of money from confiscated items. If a person has an illegal substance in their car or house, the law enforcement can confiscate their car, house, cash, guns, etc. It looks to me like they could make an equal amount through taxes but I'm not sure. Not to mention how much the lawyers make defending drug dealers.

:DSorry don’t know the answer to that one Ms Shirley ...:D

Now if you was to book a flight to Australia ,what would be the first city you would visit ....one that’s a little slower pace ...or the biggest city in Australia being .....

Sydney .. New South Wales ....5.000.000
    Melbourne .......Victoria ..... .4,700.000
    Brisbane....... .Queensland .. 2,500.000
    Perth ...........Western Aust .......2,200.000
    Adelaide .........South Aust .........1,400.000

Most likely I would visit the entire country from the large cities along the coast, to the north, that is a bit on the hot side like Darwin..
Brisbane is where my sister-in-law lives.. she is my wife's sister.. I might skip that city as the relationship with her isn't the greatest..
I would definitely make visiting our dear Kate the top priority.. NO WAY will she get away without having me....
How can one not see the Great Barrier Reef as well..
The island of Tasmania is also on my list..

From there I would go to New Zealand to see my wife's country.. She comes from Dunedin.. She still has many relatives and close friends there as well as many Grandkids..

    Now for my question..............................................................................................
I know we all eat some fish at one time or another.. Perhaps not enough, as it is very healthy to have fish a few times a week..
When you do eat fish, what kind do you usually have ?????
    Fresh, canned, or frozen ????
When I was fishing, I would catch Musky, Pike, Walleye, and Rainbow Trout.. Freeze them for further use later..
Now that my fishing days are over, I buy mostly frozen fillets of Haddock, Tilapia, Cod, or Salmon..

I would definitely love to visit anywhere in Australia that's hot, with beautiful views, and no killer spiders......and not crime ridden huge cities.... but my first stop would definitely be to visit my friend @Kate Ellery ... :D

In answer to Steve's question... we eat a lot of fish in this house, my husband doesn't eat meat of any kind, only fish.... so mostly we have wild salmon ( his is usually covered in spicy peppers of some kind...he also eat Mackerel ...( I don't like Mackerel), and his favourite Sea Bass.. ... I love Smoked undyed haddock... salmon, Tuna... and all shell fish except Oysters (hubs loves Oysters ) I used to eat a lot of swordfish at one time 'till I learned it was high in mercury...

Our fish tends to be smoked, or frozen...tuna , and mussels in a can.... but if we're eating out and have tuna it will always be fresh and served rare

What is your very first memory?

Too early to do much yet. I have my cards, I bought them after Christmas last year for a lot less. I turned the TV on for a while today and was surprised to see Christmas ads already.

Yes I go to physiotherapy twice a week for my shoulder as well as I do the exercises and stretching exercises at home almost every day......
I also use the stationary bike a few times a week to keep my hips in good shape...

    Eggplant....
Do you eat eggplant ??? it is a different type of vegetable that either you like it or you hate it...
I used to like it when I was younger, but my dear wife doesn't really know much about it.. I bought it once years ago and she wasn't crazy on it.. I haven't bought it since, however I will be trying it again shortly.....

I have eaten eggplant but I can't say I really like it. The last time I tried it, I made eggplant parmesan. It was edible but not something I would cook again. I think that, like collards, it's an acquired taste.

    Have you ever eaten collards?

Not that I’m aware of unless we have eaten it in a hotel lunch ,salad bar

Do you eat much in the way of uncooked green vegetables ,in summer like cabbage ,lettuce ,baby spinach
When I have greens I like a big pile on my plate..including red cabbage ..with just a little meat

You would not have eaten raw collards.

I eat lettuce and spinach in salads. If I buy the salad mix, I eat whatever they have in them. I eat cabbage in slaw but mostly, I prefer my veggies cooked.

@Kate Ellery , we are going into late fall/winter here. Are you having spring?

    Kate...
We use the 21st of the month as the time the seasons change..
Don't ask me why, but that is the way it is...

Your eggplant recipe sounds good but somewhat labour intensive..
The best thing I can do with eggplant is just leave it there in the shop....

As far as eating my veggies raw, other than a salad or some coleslaw, I cook everything..
I'm not a rabbit to eat raw veggies..

Do you have a land line telephone in your house as well as a cell phone???
I have ONLY a landline in the house and we DON'T have a cell phone.. The reason is, the phone in the house only rings about 2 or 3 times a week.. We don't get very many calls and we don't make very many calls to warrant getting a cell phone.. Besides, a cell phone is much more expensive than what we pay per month..
Should I need some assistance in the car, I have "On Star" in the car which is like a phone and for emergencies..

We call eggplants...Aubergine, and yes we eat it a lot especially in Greek & Italian recipes... ...I love it...

Yes we have a landline as well as an Iphone each

Now here's a nation divide question...

I n the Uk we don't routinely hang flags (the union flag)...from our houses, usually they are only hung from official building and places, so hanging a flag from our homes is seen as low class.....

... in the USA it's the opposite and seen as patriotic to hang the stars and stripes from homes and the American people are not afraid to show their pride for their flag...... ?

Do you hang a flag from your home?

No.. We here in Canada don't hang flags as much as those in the USA, however we do on the 1st of July which is our "Canada Day".. That is just about the only time we do it.. Now buildings and some businesses do have a flag flying all the time especially City Halls, police stations, post offices, and Government buildings..
In my case, if I were to hang a flag outside my house, the only ones that would see it is my wife and myself, also our dog, and some wild animals, such as Black Bears, Foxes, Deer, and perhaps some low flying eagles......

Questions are becoming a bit harder to ask..
Do you in your house have carpets, laminate, or hardwood floors??
We here have mostly laminate floors except the kitchen that has tiles and the master bedroom that has carpet..
For safety purposes, we put carpets on the stairs not to slip..

We have tiles in the living ,room dining ,kitchen ,hallway and wet areas ..all the rest carpet ( single story house )

Do you shop around for the best electricity prices ..we have the highest electricity prices in the world in SA ,despite that our winter account was just under $50 ..( we have a small solar system)according to the tv and radio news the average bill is $2.500 a quarter ..I don’t know how people run bills up like that
....they obiviously don’t hang washing out ( use a dryer ) and must have @ heater / air con on day and night ...I’d die if I got a bill like that ...

We can't shop around. Our electric company has a monopoly. We have something called a Utility Commission that is supposed to look out for our interest. Hah! Good luck with that.

What is your favorite time of day?

Nights just before bed time as I am on the computer and unwinding before going to bed....

Are you a night owl or an early bird ??
Do you go to bed early or late??
Do you get up early in the morning or late??

We are definitely night owls as I don't go to bed till way after 1:00am if not later than that.. Often I am up on here till after 2:00am.. Annmarie goes to bed even later than me..
Unless we have an appointment or something to do, we don't get out of bed till almost noon...
