Ecosexuals: Won’t somebody please think of the poor plants?
That would give new meaning to the term "FamilyTree"!
Well, let's have a look first at the below-neckline scape of the chick emblazoning the flick.
I am annoyed by the fact that people have been put into the preposterous situation where they are afraid to acknowledge Christmas by its name, including even those who celebrate it and who depend on the Christmas season for a profit. I am not inclined to shop at a store that puts up decorations that read, "Seasons Greetings, or who refer to their Christmas tree as a "Holiday Tree" or some other nutty term. Now, if I knew them to be something other than a Christian, that would be fine. I have no problem shopping at stores that belong to people of other religions, and certainly don't expect them to use Christian terms in order to get my business.
In Millinocket, our library has been on the verge of closing for the past few years. Without a paper mill paying three-quarters of the town's expenses, it has been unable to employ a full-time librarian and staff, as it once did, or to keep the library open six days a week, as it did only a few years ago. A couple of years ago, I began using my Amazon Smile account to pass on a few dollars from the many Amazon.com purchases that I make to the library association, and I have encouraged many other people to do that because most people were unaware that this was even an option. As of a couple of weeks ago, my part had amounted to just short of $150, not enough to keep the library open, to be sure, but it was something.
However, last week I noticed that they were referring to their annual Christmas sale as a "Holiday Sale," and their tree as a "Holiday Tree," so I changed my Amazon Smile account to contribute to the church that I grew up attending in Michigan. Again, it's not a big thing, but that sort of thing annoys me and I wont' reward it.
It's not a major issue. I wouldn't picket or raise a fuss, but when I have an easy alternative, I will take it rather than reward political correctness. Perhaps they are attracting more people through political correctness than they are losing, but I doubt it. Millinocket is not a hotbed of diversity.
I don't let what other people say bother me, I say "Merry Christmas" and what I get in response doesn't matter, since most of the time I have no idea what religion the people are. Nobody has chastised me for saying "Merry Christmas" yet either.
Ken I am going to be politically incorrect and wish you and everyone else on the forum Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I have said that all my life and I will not change to be politico correct. This has driven are schools into wassy cry babies children and trying to divide the country.
Now when someone says they're a tree hugger, I won't know if they mean it in a sexual way.
PC Police: Seattle cops replace “suspect” with “community member”
BS!:;&(....I would refuse to do that.
And in Canada it is destroying the freedoms
Oh Canada: Free Speech Falls & Tyranny Rises
Guess I will stay in Texas....lolol like that changes any thing
I suspect also, that "suspect" implies suspicion of guilt, not P.C., remember "innocent until proved guilty"?
But it's important for the public to know that the "suspect" is still on the loose and to be careful....a community member is on the loose just isn't strong enough for warning people.
They can say a person of interest still means they are interested in him/her for some reason
Usually in a case there are many persons of interest, especially people they knew or where associated with, doesn't mean they had anything to do with it.
I've read many news articles that say so and so is a person of interest but not a suspect and they just want to talk to them, etc.
But yes...anything is better than community member ...I'm a community member, so you need to make a distinction.
@Chrissy Cross " .......I'm a community member, so you need to make a distinction."
Unless you are also a "suspect"......
Firefighter FIRED for ‘Racial Insensitivity’ After Bringing in a Watermelon
Since October is breast cancer awareness month he could have argued that his watermelon with the pink ribbon was because of that....
They just cannot help themselves looking for something they can say that is racist like they want to ban milk because it is white it is racist
He should have brought crackers, or white bread, instead of watermelon.
I think he has grounds for a lawsuit.
