I have decided to refinish my Jewelry cabinet to match the new dressing room I'm having put in..
Step one is completed.. the disassembly and sanding.. Tomorrow.. Priming
Got the piece all primed with two coats.. and getting ready to fine sand.. Tomorrow the first finish coat.
Looks like a bit of a big project that takes time, but when finished it's going to be all worth it. You'll get a custom jewelry holder closet and a job well done in your accomplishment belt too! Good luck and sure looks pretty so far!
Hey! Now you have a hobby! Good job.
It looks like you're chugging along nicely with your project. I like seeing pictures throughout the process and hearing your updates, it gets me motivated. I'm going through things here with the intent to donate some and hopefully sell others, then I'll have more room to rearrange what's left.
Just finished applying the final coat.. Now it needs to dry for 4 hours and I can reassemble the chest. I will post a pic as soon as I'm done..
My next project will follow.. It's a bit more ambitious.
That's OK, watching paint dry, is a fine hobby!
The finished product..
My dining room table is despartely in need of refinishing. However, I have enough to do right now, without taking on a big project like that. Plus it is too big to move outside. The cat hangs out a lot over there and I think the fumes would not be good at all. If it wasn't so humongus I would refinish it.
