TMZ Article Matthew Perry...best noted for his role on the tv show Friends...died at his own house after some physical activity this morning. Matthew came home sometime in the AM after a 2-hour round of pickleball, and he sent his assistant out on errand shortly thereafter. When the assistant returned about 2 hours later, he discovered Matthew unresponsive ... and called 911. Law enforcement says he drowned. "Sources" say he was found dead in his jacuzzi. Perry has struggled with substance abuse in the past but reportedly has been clean for over 2 years. Reports say that no drugs were found at the scene.

I'll admit it... I'm a Friends junkie. I have watched the entire series dozens of times, and mostly when I was in treatment and feeling down. They kept me company many, many sleepless nights. No matter how many times I've watched, I still laugh even though I'm lip-syncing the dialogue. It's just kind of comforting to take a trip back in time to 1994. Sad end for Matthew Perry.
I wondered when you came up with that pic. I never watched all that much, but I watch the heck out of the older tv series to the point I, too, know the dialogue.
I am not much of a sitcom fan, so it's unusual for me to "get involved." I like the Friends cast of characters; each of them has their own familiar quirks. Perry's comedic timing was nothing short of genius... he absolutely WAS Chandler Bing.
I watch so many sitcoms when I was a kid/young adult I reached a point I could not watch any more. Even ones I had never seen fit the same predictable patterns. Then there's the canned laughter... I never watched Friends, and only saw the last [over-hyped] Seinfeld episode.
Well, when we were kids there wasn't a lot of variety on those 3 channels. And I totally agree about Seinfeld; I tried to watch it but nah. I think Jennifer Aniston was the only one of the Friends cast to have a high-profile career when the show ended.
Shocked to see this first thing this morning. I watched the show on streaming channel at least twice, the whole thing. I liked him also in Odd Couple RIP Chandler
Did she? All I recall her being famous for was dating Brad Pitt. Then she became more famous for their break-up.
I never developed an interest in Friends. There may have been a competing show on at the same time that I preferred. Don't remember. New sitcoms appearing each season I'll give them a one episode look. Some I don't even get past a 10 minute look. Hook me early or not at all.
Yeah, "Apparent Drowning." Like Whitney Houston & her daughter's "Drowning." Like Jim Morrison's & Jimi Hendrix's "Drowning." Why do drug addicts always drown in bathtubs & hot tubs............?
Why the quotation marks? They did drown, whether in a kiddie pool or a puddle. It was reported (so it must be true...lol) that Perry did not have drugs in his system, but he had a ton of health problems caused by years of alcohol and drug abuse. He possibly had a heart attack or some other organ failure that caused him to pass out and drown.
Now I'm re-wondering, did Matthew take the jabs? From all I've read and heard he was in a good place and helping others with addiction....now he''s GONE so fast. Same with Suzanne Somers, gone fast.
