We have one every Thursday afternoon and today we had someone entertain us playing different pieces on a muted trumpet which sounded horrible due to my rotten hearing. There were only about six residents attending.
Why would they bother having a trumpet if they are going to mute it? Even if your hearing was great Lon, muted instruments sound terrible. They have a nice piano there. Does anyone play it regularly? In a setting where most folks are hard of hearing, muting instruments seems foolish to me.
