Kate Steinle Murder Suspect Found Not Guilty

This case received national attention and was used by both sides regarding illegal immigration and the idea of "sanctuary cities" I'm surprised myself at the outcome. Though I didn't follow the trial.

I didn't follow it either, didn't even hear about it until today.

 

I read that he shot her accidently............................... three times.

 

I just found out she was a Cal Poly graduate...the same University my grandson goes to.

Someone just posted about it on Cal Polys parents Facebook page.

 

I can't believe the light sentencing. I'm not an expert but if someone has a gun out in a crowded area of a large city, isn't there some kind of negligence. Not just a felon in possession. I also heard there may be some federal charges coming his way though I'm ignorant to the law to understand this. But I hope there will be something. That poor family.
