    The actor, John Hurt, won't be coming down for breakfast. He was seventy-seven.

    Sadly not he was one of my favourite actors I loved all the movies he was in RIP LINK

    Sir John Hurt dead: 'Elephant Man' and 'Harry Potter' actor dies aged 77
    He previously suffered from pancreatic cancer but was given the all-clear in 2015

    The veteran actor Sir John Hurt has died aged 77. In a wide-ranging and diverse career, Sir John played roles in a number of acclaimed films, including Elephant Man, Alien and Harry Potter. In all he starred in more than 200 films and TV series during a career which spanned six decades.

    I loved that Man...one of my all time favourite actors.... but I'm stunned to learn he was only 77, I thought he was at least a decade older. R.I.P John ...

    I'll never forget Elephant Man, also I loved Anthony Hopkins compassionate character/doctor, and the lovely stage actress part played by Ann Bancroft. A heart-wrenching portrayal, I've watched it again, but breaks my heart every time:( The cruelty of people:(

    I first saw him in Alien, for awhile if you saw it this was gross

    Had I seen that movie at age 9, as I did The Thing, Invaders from Mars, and others, I would not have slept peacefully for weeks!
