Some of you probably received this message already if you have Facebook, and it might even be going around in other ways. One friend said she was asking everyone to STOP sending it to her because she had already received the hoax message 6-7 times. I got it only one time (so far) so maybe more people are starting to realize that this is yet another hoax. It totally frustrates me that so many people will simply pass on any message where they are instructed to do so, and they do not take the time to at least check and see if it is a fraud before sending it to their whole friend list. Basically, here is what the hoax says, in case you haven't had it sent to you yet. And If you do receive it, let the person who sent it to you know that they are forwarding more spam messages. "Please tell all the contacts in your messenger list not to accept Jayden K. Smith friendship request. He is a hacker and has the system connected to your Facebook account. If one of your contacts accepts it, you will also be hacked, so make sure that all your friends know it. Thanks. Forwarded as received. Hold your finger down on the message. At the bottom in the middle it will say forward. Hit that then click on the names of those in your list and it will send to them "
I do not copy paste or share squat with FB. If anyone sends me this...I hit delete...the message and the one who sent.Tnx for the heads up though
I do very little on FB these days. Basically I'll like a very few things and I'll wish someone a Happy Birthday. I never share anything anymore. Didn't even have a profile pic but recently I added a photo of Pickles because I started playing a game with my grandson.
That is what i do, too, @Gloria Mitchell , although I never delete my friends who send these things to me. They are still my friends, and meant well, so I usually just let them know that this is a hoax, scam, or just a spam message. Most of them are sent out originally so that they can gather a list of either emails or facebook names, and each person who forwards these messages has all of their friends added into the lists for spammers. Some of the hoax ones will circulate for years, just getting some small changes along the way, and people seem to think that they are helping find some lost little kid, or contributing to stop cancer by posting a ribbon , and more stuff like that. I do share things on Facebook, but they are things that I want to share, and not something that comes with a directive to send it to everyone on my friend list.
Lolo in Dec. I delted all but family and 2 long time friends. So yes probably would not delete them...but they know better than to send me that stuff. I am on this site way more than FB
