Wage peace with your breath.
Breathe in firemen and rubble,
breathe out whole buildings and flocks of red wing blackbirds.
Breathe in terrorists
and breathe out sleeping children and freshly mown fields.
Breathe in confusion and breathe out maple trees.
Breathe in the fallen and breathe out lifelong friendships intact.
Wage peace with your listening: hearing sirens, pray loud.
Remember your tools: flower seeds, clothes pins, clean rivers.
Play music, learn the word for thank you in three languages.
Learn to knit, and make a hat.
Think of chaos as dancing raspberries,
as the outbreath of beauty or the gesture of fish.
Swim for the other side.
Never has the world seemed so fresh and precious:
Have a cup of tea and rejoice.
Act as if armistice has already arrived.
Don't wait another minute.

A Dali Cuppa
Some of us need our most important morning meds. Now I just have to find a morning delivery service that is reliable.
Hey maybe this could work into part-time jobs for someone who is chipper in the morning. But I can't find such a service in this huge metropolis. I wonder how I can convince someone this is a needed senior necessity, so SS can cover at least 80%?

Columbus Discovers Coffee
"So we all know the rhyme,” In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue”, but what you don’t know is that this journey wasn’t about new trade routes. This was a treasure hunt. Yeah!! A treasure hunt kicked off by a cup of coffee.
"Columbus and his boys were going over a map, plotting their next adventure. But the map kept rolling back on itself, so he used his mug to hold down a portion of it. Little did Columbus know this would be the moment that everything would change in his life. (fadeout)
"These were superstitious times, and “signs” were commonly used to make decisions. In the case of Columbus his sign to travel across the sea was set in stone by a coffee cup ring left on his map by his very own mug. This ring would later become known as the Ring to Rule Them All. (Yep, JR Tolken knew the real story)
"They didn’t know why, and let’s be honest, they didn’t care where the ring was going to take them Columbus and crew simply knew they had to go.
"After doing his sales thing with the Queen, Columbus and crew were ready to hit the high seas. With adventure in the air, cash in their pockets and the fleet of Spain at their disposal, Columbus and the Ringlets raised anchor and began the journey".
A Contemporary Guide to Some of the Best Coffee in Columbus, Ohio
Your first cartoon of the guy wanting a black coffee actually happened to me. I was in a car with another guy. We stopped at a little drive up coffee stand. He ordered some complicated sounding mix and I wanted just a black coffee. The girl in the window told me they didn't have that kind of coffee. So, I got something with chocolate in it.

HUNTING FOR COFFEE
That guy sleeping could be me. I fell asleep like that more than once. Woke up once during a late afternoon hunt, it was near dark. I had a 2+ mile hike through woods and a swamp to my car in the dark.
Sorry, but we are closing for good! See the link to "Good News, Bad News"!
You can't I only just found this thread
Sorry, @Honey Gee , but this place is history! If you go two blocks over, you will find "Phil's Quick-Fill", where you can gas up and hit the coffee machine! Best we can do.
I was worried, too , when @Joe Riley said he was retiring and closing up shop in all of his Senior-town enterprises here.
The good news is that Joe is just going to take some time off and re-invent himself for the new year, so even if we have to brew our own coffee, our beloved Joe Riley will still be entertaining us in new and different ways.
( I did hear a rumor that he was learning burlesque-dancing; but I am not at all sure if this will be part of the new year's developments or not.)
