My son turned fifty last year. It did make me feel old to know that my son was old enough for the seniors forum, although he doesn't come here. I adopted him when I was twenty and he was seven, so I'm only thirteen years older than he is.
My oldest son turned 50 last year, too. It seems like not that long ago that I was just in my fifties, and now my kids are getting there. I was only 19 when he was born; which always seemed like a long time; but not any more, since we both are in the senior's catagory. It is a strange feeling, for sure. Some days I sure wish I was young again and could go horseback riding, camping, fishing, and all of the things that I so miss being able to do. Other days, I look at what is happening in the world around us, and I am kinda glad that I am a senior, and will probably not be here to see how bad it is really going to get if this keeps up.
I have a sister who will turn 50 in May! My oldest child, my daughter will be 45 in May. Happy Birthday to your son, Ken N Louis!
Happy B'day! Love the cake! I had my first child at 19, and she turned 42(!!!!!) this year! I started another family when I was in my 30's, so I have a son who is a teenager. The years are flying by for sure!
Belated Happy birthday from me too, both my daughters are in their 40s and with teenage grandchildren, my life is flying by.
