Hells bells...that's some huge hailstone , WOW!!! that could kill somebody!! we've got a lightening storm at the moment..it's just past midnight here..and the whole sky is lightening up...
@Gary Ridenour , not to my car or roof but to many in nearby places, there was damage. One lady showed her car with the windows and windshield destroyed. Any car that was outside would have had similar damage. @Holly Saunders , be safe.
We got caught in a t-storm and two hail storms in southeastern Wyoming at a Holiday Inn Express. Like some hotels and motels, there was no covering for customer vehicles. Just the overhead covering leading to the front door of the hotel, which is just a temporary place to park for registration of a room. Our Durango got hail damage on the hood, roof and sides that cost us a $500 deductible to repair. One person at the hotel, had a vintage car that really got hit.
We had that size late last year...in fact hey just finished replacing the roofs on apts. here yesterday. Blew out windows and damaged many cars. And hail that size that a terrible racket of noise !
