coming next month Nov 4 WWII American Army Medic Desmond T. Doss, who served during the Battle of Okinawa, refuses to kill people and becomes the first Conscientious Objector in American history to be awarded the Medal of Honor.
Wow, what a movie. I never knew there were solders who were against killing. He saved a lot of lives risking his own life to do that too. Locally there will be a commemorative 75th anniversary @ Pearl Harbor. The Rock is having Rock The Troops Event with many celebrities attending for a tribute and to honor the troops too. My Uncle joined the VVV, Varsity Victory Volunteers 100th Infantry. They went and fought for America. He is gone now and missed so much. Just this year we came upon my Uncle's ROTC pin. We gave it to my cousin who retired from the Hawaii National Guard.
