I am rewatching God's and Generals right now and will follow it up with Gettysburg, The Last Full Measure, and Copperhead, all about the American Civil War, by the same director, and with some of the of the same people. I have seen God's and Generals a couple times already, watched Gettysburg once, and am not sure if I have seen Last Full Measure or Copperhead. I'll know once I get to it. Gods and Generals was the best movie I have ever seen about the Civil War, and I think that Gettysburg was right behind it. These are good enough that I have them on DVD so that I watch them again. They treat both sides fairly, which is uncommon.

I have finished Gods and Generals and am about halfway through Gettysburg right now, and I have to say that Robert Duvall made a much better Robert E. Lee than Martin Sheen did - probably because Duvall is believable as Lee, while Martin Sheen comes off more like Martin Sheen with a beard.
