I have told @Ken Anderson several times that I want to come back as one of his cats. I'll be a sweet, cuddly cat not one with an attitude.
She likes it best when it's sitting right in the middle of the living room floor, but that's a bit awkward when company comes.
We are getting Poodle the doggie version of the Kitty Condo, hopefully, he will like it. Poodle sleeps at the foot of the bed at night, but when Bobby gets up in the morning, Poodle comes up to the top of the bed and burrows underneath the covers. With winter coming, I wanted to be sure that he would be warm enough at night, so I have been looking at heated dog beds, dog sleeping bags, cuddle caves, and anything Amazon had that looked like it might work. Most of them are either really expensive, or really small (more of a cat or a chihuahua size), and while Poodle is not a large dog, he has a long body and legs, and I wanted something where he could be comfortable and still get in and out of easily. I found this little Sherpa-lined doghouse-style bed, and I am hoping that Poodle will like it. It is big enough, but not too large, and easy enough for him to go in and out of, and should help him stay warm overnight. I ordered it from Amazon, and it should be here this coming week, so we will see whether he likes it or not.
Poodle’s doggie condo arrived today. It is larger than I thought it would be, but Poodle seems to think that it is fine. Once I showed him that it was his new bed, he curled right up on the Sherpa cushion and (at least thus far) he seems perfectly content in there, almost like he had always had such a condo to sleep in. Tonight, I will take it into the bedroom and put it at the foot of the bed where he sleeps, and see if he will spend the night in there. The whole thing is covered with the (fake) Sherpa lining, plus the soft cushion at the bottom, so it looks like it would be pretty comfy for him.
