woe Kate its very nice, simular to the one we had in Maine, i loved stacking the wood down in the basement but then Paul was the one who had to carry it up stairs and load the log rack next to the stove.. we sure always kept warm with that stove, it was a blessing to us ..Maine always had the coldest winters and sooooo much snow too, so can;t say i really miss the winters up on Maine,,lol well another hot beautiful 90 degree day ,but we need rain, its going on 3 weeks and only once had a good rain,!! we are having to even water the fig trees too,,
With electricity prices expected to more than double we are so happy we have “free” heating We installed the heater the first year we moved into our home ( Ron installed it)
We are total electric because the power company was saying that a house our size would have an average electric bill of $35 a month year round. It was for the first several years but it has gone up and up since then.
We are all electric ..cause no gas lines here in the country , neighbour’s have a gas stove/ hot water but they have to pay for bottled gas
So I’m I …I was happy to have all electric ….cause I only ever cooked on a wood stove till I was 25 ( summer and winter ) I’m afraid of gas cookers ….mainly cause the old ones went bang when you lit them @Shirley Martin
We have an all electric house as well.. No gas is available in our area.. We have an electric fireplace.. We have a house without a chimney as we don't burn anything.. Electric forced hot air furnace with electric baseboard in the bedrooms.. Almost every room has a ceiling fan as well.. Extremely comfortable in both winter and summer.. Yes, we had a rain storm come in after the red sky in the morning.. It didn't lat long but it was heavy when it was raining which means we don't have to water the garden today....
I just got up and it is 4:30am... Looks like the daylight beat me here as it is quite bright out.. Unfortunately, we have another red/orange sky which means more weather today.. I will be going back to bed and sleeping till I wake up which should be closer to noon or thereabouts..
Well, its now 6:30am and it is raining like the dickens... Red sky in the morning,............... sailor take warning ......... We had a red/orange sky this morning at sunrise, and now it is raining hard...
We finally got some well needed rain just alittle bit ago,,, ,, rain seems to be scarce here this summer ..so far anyway,,
It won’t stop raining here ….and usually July is our wettest month of winter and we are only the first day of July
You will have to talk to the man upstairs about that problem , Kate,,!! wish i could help in some way,
No games tonight... Everything is OK but I am too tired and I want to go to bed.. I might get up later in the night..
