For tomorrow, Thursday, they are forecasting up to 20cms of snow for our region...That's 8 inches of snow... Now, I have an appointment on Friday morning to have my snow tires installed.. This could be an interesting situation come Friday..
Well, it is now almost 6:00am and so far, nothing in the snow area.. I wonder if they are accurate in their forecast because they very often warn us of a storm and we get nothing.. The storm passes either north or south of us instead.. Environment Canada is very general when it comes to forecasting storms.. Oh well, we shall see what will happen.... Now, back to bed for me.. Its way too early to get up..
I owe an apology........... I said it wouldn't snow, well it is now snowing.. It is now 9:30pm and so far, we had 15cms (6 inches) of snow and it isn't letting up at all.. They are calling for the snow to continue all night till the morning which will bring about 30cms (12 inches) of snow.. Now, I have an appointment tomorrow at 9:00am to have my snow tires installed.. The garage is 15kms away from my house.. I will be driving with my All Season tires to the garage.. I have no fear as I have All Wheel Drive in my SUV and traction control.. Besides, the highway will be cleared as it is the Trans Canada Highway..
I'm home from having my snow tires installed.. No problem driving as the roads have been plowed.. The storm is over and we got just under a foot of snow.. The temperature is at present -11c which isn't that bad.. I am staying home all day as I don't have anywhere to go............. A lazy day...
Gee Steve you got some early snow? or is this the usual thing to happen now..its been cold here too but with that north wind it always feel colder.!! No snow tho..if we get snow it is only enough to cover the ground, we never have to shovel snow..! but it always does look nice with the snow ..
I hope everybody had a happy Thanksgiving. Mine was terrific. We shared some good food, some great memories and lots of laughter. Steve,
