I'm very picky about food safety, but occasionally run into questions and every www site says something different. So I'll take you guys' word for it if you have an opinion on this:

I bought a package of ground beef last Friday, and put it in the refrigerator. Didn't have time to cook it til Sunday. Today is Tuesday- do you think it's still fresh?

I almost never eat meat that's been in the refrigerator for more than 2 days, whether it's raw or cooked, but I've been so busy that I lost track of time with this one.

Did you 'cook' it on Sunday - if so, did you then freeze it or refrigerate it ?

Yes, I cooked it on Sunday- crumbled, not in patties- and then put it back in the refrigerator.

My fridge is set 'very' cold, even so, I wouldn't eat this tomorrow but you could try some today

I personally wouldn't eat it... not 2 days after it's been cooked, I think that's too long ..but then I have a very weak stomach so I have to ensure everything is as fresh as can be..

As long as it was cold when put in the fridge and the fridge 'is set cold' it should be fine today
I have done this myself and I'm still here :p
