To get back over here and this was his reply to me..... Got your e-mail and tried to join the group; entered my E-mail addy, password etc. And it didn't work......"Can't find any record.......try again etc. So, unless you can think of something else to get me in, I may as well fuggedaboutit.. Said I would ask...
If s/he used "Falcon" as a member name, then I probably deleted the account, as we use first and last names here. When someone logs in with a handle rather than a name, I message them, explaining things, and telling them how to go about changing their member name. But if they log in again, read the message, and still haven't changed their member name or replied to me within a couple of days, I delete the account. Also, some people will create an account, then never log back in, so when someone creates an account using a handle, and hasn't logged back in within a week or so, I will delete that account, as well. They are perfectly welcome to re-register, using a first and a last name rather than a handle.
No...I just looked him up and he used John Falcon....I just sent him an email telling him that, maybe he was putting in the wrong username.
Just tell him/her to create another account, using something that has a first and a last name, and which sounds like a real name. A pseudonym is fine, as long as it looks real.
Wait, I hadn't seen this message when I left my last one. Let me check on that using my Admin account. Using this account, I can't see anything that you can't see. I'll get back to you.
Oh yes, of course. John Falcon is a registered, valid account. It is not banned, so there is no reason why he shouldn't be able to log into it unless he forgot his password. Even then, the system will send him a password reset if he remembers which email address he used when he registered. Ask him to contact me at kenanderson@kenanderson.net if he is still having trouble. I would suggest that he use the login feature for forgetting your password. It's called "Forgot my Password" or something like that. If he enters the same email address that he used to register the account, the system will send him an email that will allow him to reset his password. Otherwise, he can contact me and I can change his password for him. He can then reset it to something else later if he wants. I can change member passwords through my Admin account but I cannot view them. This is a security measure since some people use the same password for everything. If he is still having trouble, have him contact me by email, and we'll figure something out. I don't want to lose anyone.
If he doesn't know which email address he used, I can tell him that, as I can view that in my Admin account.
Tell John I said hey Chrissy, tell him he better get here because I miss seeing him Tell him I asked what/who he is going to be for Halloween, LOL!!
