At my tender age, I didn't understand how much politics was involved in one of my favorite shows.

Hokey Smoke, Mary. I don't want to watch a 10 minute video. Can you Dudley Do-Right by me and give me a synopsis?

Trivia: What was Do-Right's horse's name?

It wasn’t necessarily a march on Washington type of protest but many cartoons, especially those produced by Warner Brothers, took a huge hit in the 80’s.
A big to-do by protective mothers judged cartoons like Bugs Bunny and Road Runner to be too violent and cited that an average Warner Brothers cartoon had an average of 20++ acts of violence in them.
Oh and can’t forget the southern border mouse, Speedy Gonzales, which was canceled because it supposedly stereotyped Mexicans.

So what did the demanding mothers approve of? Well, how about The Ninja Turtles and The Space Rangers which were even more violent but supposedly had some morally redeeming values attached to them.

Oh it was just a silly vid where politics was involved even in the 50's and 60'. Except showing up at the White House during the Cuban missal crises was not silly. Apparently the producers of the show were the only people unaware.
The Canadians were insulted by Dudley Do Right's portrayal. The Russians were insulted by Boris and Natasha. And Snydley Whiplash was compared to Stalin. ????
    Etc

I always like Mister Peabody and his pet boy, Sherman. "Every dog should have a boy." Yup.
