We sent about 30 cards this year. We once sent about 100 every year, but the kids have grown and the circle of friends have diminished through death and other things. We used to include a family newsletter for those who we believed would be interested, and it included photos of the kids activities and such. Now we only send to family and old friends and the letters are much simpler to keep family members apprised of (mostly) what the grandkids are up to. Hand written greetings to those particularly close, or those who once were.

We also shop the after-Christmas clearance sales for decorations and cards.

The only card I have gotten was from @Julia Curtis today. I only sent out maybe 12 and I am done sending out cards to just be ignored other than a thank you from on the phone-sorry maybe 2. It is a dying tradition I guess. :(
