What if everything is fine and its just one of those things we have to put up with
I haven't done your test as I'd rather not know, I saw an eye doc years ago for far worse than you describe
I found it hard to believe nothing was wrong but I had to accept it and that was years ago, so there is probably, likely,
a good result coming your way :)

I pray that it is a positive result and just something that won't be more of a problem than it is
You could accept that I'm sure x

I bet your glad you have a very supporting big family in times like these...

I don't know if I've mentioned it on here I know I did on one of the forums, but I have had a very similar problem for the last maybe 9 months or so... laso great pressure behind the left eye as well as being unable to see properly... Whenit first started I couldn't see out of that eye at all and with the pressure pain it was really miserable and very worrying.

Unbeknown to anyone on here..but known to a few people on another forum..for many weeks I could barely see to type.. at all.. so I had to resort to using talk to type... just to play games..I couldn't actually have a conversation other than the games, because I had to keep going back and correcting the spelling mistakes ...and I could barely see, and tbh I have little patience when I'm in pain, but I felt I had to keep doing everything I normally would as best as I could.. and can!!
You betcha I was scared tho'... .. I eventually got to see an Ophthalmic consultant after 6 MONTHS!!!...he couldn't find what was causing the problem.. so I was passed from pillar to post..Ultrasound scan, MRI... ..My eyesight has returned again now in that eye.. and the pressure ( feeling like someone has their thumb pressed in the eye socket)... has reduced somewhat... but still no answers...not until next Monday when I see the consultant for all the results of the latests tests..and hopefully there will be a conclusion.

You an imagine how scared I've been...I have no family here.. but I tried to keep it in proportion because I felt that panicking about it just made it worse.. . My point is Chrissy.. you may be stressed, ..you have medics in your family to get advice from and I'm sure they will have suggested something to you whether to seek medical help or their thoughts on what could be causing it......so try your best to keep calm...and see an ophthalmologist as soon as you can!! Best wishes.. and good luck...

Don't be put out by the therapist Chrissy - that's why they are the cause of many jokes, so my faith there
    was minimal

Thanks @Holly Saunders ....hope you get your answer but glad the problem resolved.

I'm trying to relax now but know I'll be a wreck on Monday...the place St Reese me out on a normal visit.

My biggest fears are my eyes and cancer. :)

You are braver than I am...

What a waste of time and a $25 copay...I'm crying and all she's telling me is to maybe binge watch some TV and get my mind off my eyes.

I really feel for you, @Chrissy Cross. Have you ever tried yoga? Perhaps that would ease your anxiety. I don't know what Curves offers, but I would be surprised if there were not some independent yoga studios out there, but that would also require you to move out of your shell a bit. If the studio is too scary, perhaps a book on relaxation could help. I once checked out a book from the local library that was called "Yoga for Seniors" or something like that. Prayers are with you.

Oh dear, I'm sorry you didn't get to see someone who is a specialist in their job, she clearly is not ....that's not helped at all has it..?

I know what it;s like..you get pain, you build it up in your mind, the pain is very real but because you don't know what's causing it or ever had anything like it before.. your mind tells you it HAS to be something life threatening...and the anxiety gets worse..

Chrissy I'm no therapist, but I really feel your anxiety may be causing your physical pain rather than the other way around, BUT until you get a professional to look and see and give you assurance and calm your fears , you will continue to be anxious and potentially your pain will increase...Viscous circle unfortunately

Do you remember when you were having so much anxiety a year or two ago, and I told you about the meridian tapping, and you tried it and it helped you to calm down ?
Maybe you can try that again and see if it will help you this time. It really helps me when I have a panic attack. Just look it up on youtube, and follow the instructions.
It does not sound like the therapist was very helpful at all, and telling you to just go home and watch television is a ridiculous answer ! ! I would have been very angry, too.
I know that you are frightened about Monday, but seeing the doctor is what you have been wanting to do, and you will feel better once you do that.
Can you call your daughter and talk to her about everything ?
You can always message me if you need some support . I don’t have answers, but I can at least send you a virtual hug and let you know you are not alone in this.
We are all here in support of you, Chrissy !

It's not unreasonable to be anxious over eye problems. As far as the senses go, that's kind of a big one. I won't waste time trying to diagnose something from a forum post, not that I could anyhow, but I pray that it will turn out to be something correctable. Yes, anxiety could lead to vision problems, but it still needs to be checked out, since vision problems surely lead to anxiety.
