It may be a gimmick, but I needed something to fill my Pantry Prime order on Amazon last week, so I ordered some BLK water. I don't want to call it blackwater because that has other connotations that aren't so pleasant, but it is water, and it is black. The blackness comes from the fulvic acid or trace minerals that are in it. Other than that, it's water, but it seems to be a bit more satisfying than regular water. I feel better when I drink a lot of water, and I have been doing that for the past few days rather than coffee, but I usually get bored with water after a few glasses and revert to coffee instead. The container is clear plastic, except for the cap. The black is the water.
It IS a gimmick, so far as I can tell. "Humic and fulvic acids, when present in treated drinking water, can react with the chemicals used in the chlorination process to form disinfection byproducts such as dihaloacetonitriles, which are toxic to humans.[16][17] Just another sales tool, imo. Frank
Love the idea of Black water.... but you know I'm sure I needn't tell you Ken... that the word ''May and might '' is used a lot on those medical sites.. still if it makes you feel better, then go for it...
@Ken Anderson As non-expert opinion-makers, who or what should we believe? I read WebMD often. Many others also. Try to sift through claims, "facts", note them in the back of my mind, to ask my Dr. about them. He has turned out to be amazingly astute. Frank
My guess is that it's very likely no better than regular water but it's more interesting, so I drink it, and I feel better when I drink water.
