Aw @Holly Saunders ! Be a sport! :D It really does look good to me! And I truly do trust Tom's judgment. There are so many things he doesn't like, that when he says something is delicious, I take notice. :)

Are you feeling better today? Uh... maybe not anymore, eh? Sorry!

I guess I'm an oddball, @Sheldon Scott ... you probably won't want to hire me to be chief cook and bottle washer then. :D But I like chocolate covered bacon, too... not a big difference. (Uh... I mean meat and chocolate together... I really do know that cows and pigs are different. hehe) :p

My immediate thought was "it just tastes like fudge". I didnt feel like reading the blog, so going with my thought, this is no big deal. A waste of good roast beef maybe.

BTW, I also love chocolate covered bacon. Bacon refuses to be overcome by anything.

Sure I would, Mari! I like a bit of fudge now and then, and this one actually has some nutrition from the protein.

Who would eat chocolate covered potato chips? I was reading an article somewhere that Trader Joes has them but haven't looked in my store yet. Out of curiosity I would buy it.

I have... and they're soooooo good! Well, as long as it's good-grade chocolate and the chips are thick enough, that is. :) Unless it's bugs or something that's not meant to be food, I suspect there's nothing chocolate covered that I wouldn't like... including beef. :D

Yes it looks like fudge Mari, but with so many other sweet things in it, I would think the beef would have trouble rearing its head, but it would be interesting to try it,..... maybe with a yorkshire pudding or two.

Now I'm hungry. Maybe if I take a look at the beef fudge my appetite will go away. :)

Would you stop making me hungry?! I can't eat for another 5 hours, @Terry Page ! I remember my first taste of Bangers and Mash at a British Pub... I was hooked. :) And yes, before you say it, I'm rather sure that what we call British Pubs here (mine was Florida) are nothing like yours! But the food's good!

The US has another version of Toad in a Hole. It's a slice of bread with a circle cut out. In the hole, is an egg. It's all fried in a pan. I used to make these for my small grandsons on Sat. mornings.

There is an English style pub on the ground floor of Lisa's apartment block, we have had meals there in the past, but it's expensive and their bangers and mash is a bit nouvelle cuisine.
