Thought I'd put this up for alternate power source in case we need it.
Also see if you can find a { Solar For Dummies paperback,we got one at Amazon a few years ago.]

I want to get some lithium batteries if we can afford them.

Fuses vs breakers was interesting ,this is why we got fuses for our solar that we haven't even set up yet.But it in a faraday cage at daughters house.

I wondered if there is a worthwhile plug and play system to get yet. Can one just add more panels to make enough electricity from Jackery solar producers? Can we afford it?

we just got the blue etti....solar portable gen system...we needed 2000 watt for the appliances we will be running for a bit....and the monocrystalline folding panels...this system came with the lithium ion phosphate batteries in the generator....since we gave China the lithium all over the world...getting harder and more expensive...they're coming out with new compound to make them...not as reliable..and won't have the charge life...if we don't need this then fine....feels better to have something

May I ask how you decided on that one? I am looking at reviews but not sure about anything.
We had prehistoric solar in the 80s. The gov't paid for half and it was still expensive and did not work the way it was first set up.

we started by writing down wattage of the appliances we will need...course...depending on season.....start up wattage is important for the short surge.......
    2000 watt generator for us...
    .that's if summer...window ac....during day....freezer at nite....
    if winter...not as much...maybe a ceramic heater...set for nite.....
we burn wood so...we'll be splitting...
it takes appx 8 hrs sun to charge to 2000 watts....so we added a generator to have 2....
we utubed to find out most reliable batteries....how many times can we charge them...
    Lithium ion phosphate...most reliable
the Cobalt ones can be a fire hazard....
    Panels...best are monocrystalline panels ...
this system has folding portable panels...made with the monocrystalline...
    3...200 watt panels....
ship time was important because some companies are backlogged....and we needed to get cost down...
    Shipped in 2 days...here in a week....under $5000...
it won't run whole house units...central air or furnace...but our place is small...500 Sq ft....compact....
a company called hybrid power was impressive...but $$$$..
I hope you'll get what you need and we can get thru this mess...not freezing or hungry...God bless

    Oh...I wanted to say... utube
was very helpful...we watched oodles of them.....

For home solar, I am an advocate for iron nickel batteries. They are bulky, but last 30 years and present no environmental issue, and are made in the USA. I use to have a bank of four 12-volt ones and they worked great. I bought them used from the telephone company and after years of use sold them for more than I paid.
